Problem with the guitar...

My brother just purchased this game today, and I think its totally great. Only thing, is he heard that we would be able to hook up the GH3 guitar and use it on this game. Is this true? Cuz we tried hooking it up, and its like it works, but it doesnt connect under the guitar, it connects as if its another mic. Wierd! Can someone confirm if u can use it?... and why it is showing as another mic? Besides that problem, this game is awesome!!!:) I so dont want to wait until Feb to get a new guitar!!! Thanks!

There are lots and lots of posts on here. And I see that 150 sumthing people viewed this. I am not trying to search posts. I had been searching online all last night and all day today to find a answer to my question. So please if someone knows anything about this please let me know. I want to know if the GH3 guitar is compatible with this game?, and why does it reconize it as a mic? Do I have to maybe download a patch or sumthing to get this thing to work? I am not trying to be rude, I just dont feel like searching anymore posts.:confused:

Unfortunately the GH3 controller does not work. This is a big issue for many PS3 users. I among them. I don't have GH3 but was going to get it if the guitar worked. So needless to say I haven't gotten GH3. All I want is another guitar to have the experience promissed by Harmonix, 4 people playing the game at once.

you cant tap it just up or just down for the strumming otherwise it hits hardly any of the notes. Then if you to strum up and down it still misses a lot of notes. What the H*** is the deal with it. I never had any problems like this with GH1, 2, or 3. Couldnt you guys have just modeled the strum bar after the GH's they worked fine. Your guitars are a piece of F****** piece of S*** and are really frustrating to use so come up with a solution.
