Issue With the 360 Guitar -- Not Registering

I'm having that same problem with the drum set...can't get it to sync at all...

For whatever reasons, the guitar is not registering with the 360. I can turn on the machine with the guitar (thru the Guide button) but, once the game begins, the 360 acts like the guitar is not connected. I've tried all three USB ports on the 360 and nothing seems to work. When the game is on, the Xbox Guide button on the guitar is constantly blinking. Do I actually need to connect the guitar thru the hub in order for it to work?

I've already played the game with the drums and I've had no problems with it at all.

Is anyone else having this problem? If not, please advise.

Well, at least I'm not the only one with the problem. I thought it was just me.

Looks like I'm going to have to deal with the warranty service. :(

As I said in that thread, I dl'd a patch last night but the funny thing is that my 360 isn't even connected online. :confused:

It has been suggested that last night's patch had the unintended consequence of causing some people's (myself included) guitars to stop being recognized.

I plan to uninstall the patch for the time being and wait for HMX to fix this new issue.

yea same here, had problem even before the patch...i guess im gonna wait a couple days to see if anything else comes up...if not going to try out the replacement.

I had the same problem with the mic. It wouldn't show it as connected.

I have the problem every now and then. I just unplug the hub, plug it back in once the "please reconnect the controler" message comes up and usually the guitar registers. A bit of a pain I know...but it works.

I had the same problem with the mic. It wouldn't show it as connected.

We thought the mic was broken because it was plugged in, but it said "please connect controller" in the mic section on the screen.

Then we had our eureka moment that you MUST have a regular controller activated along with the mic being plugged in. Since the mic has no buttons, you need a standard controller to make menu selections and such.

Once we did that, all was good.

I had a problem with my LP guitar not connecting, but everything else would. This morning nothing showed as connected. I unplugged the usb hub and plugged it back in which did not work. I then turned off xbox, unplugged usb hub, turned xbox back on and loaded game, then plugged in hub and all is fine.
