I'm pretty sure they said yes. It was confirmed in another thread. GH guitars will also work for RockBand, but they obviously don't have the five additional solo buttons higher on the neck.

We would like very much if that were the case, but the ultimate decision to support or not support the Rock Band guitar in GH3 is up to Activision.

I'm pretty sure that is incorrect, but I could be wrong. Since, they are both using Microsoft's wireless technology, any controller using their technology will be compatible with a game. But like I said, I could be wrong. So please don't flame because I seen this before somewhere.

Speaking of the RockBand Guitar , Is it Bigger Than The GH1/2 Models ? It Seems More Realistic and Actually Bigger From the Pictures i Seen.

I'm pretty sure the people developing the game know what's going on with it. :)

I second that statement. At least, I hope they know what's going on. Maybe they're just throwing stuff together and saying "Now maybe this will work...?" :p

Because of GH3 coming out in October, I just hope that Rock Band will support the GH3 guitar.

I think the problem with that is although GH3 might recognize that there is a guitar peripheral being used the coding would be different. Like when you push down the green fret, it might come up with blue, and when you push down the red fret nothing happens at all.

This is what happened with 3rd party peripherals for GH1 and 2. I bought a "guitar mania" guitar for GH1 as offical ones weren't sold separately. When i went to use it on GH2 a few months later however it just went all crazy.
