Instead of bickering over the amount of classic rock, Metal, or punk and all other genres that are decent-good that are going to be in the game. We must band together to face a horrible enemy. Fans of crappy mainstream music. The forces of pop punk and Nu metal and other horrible genres have banded together, they have powerful abilities such as butchering the english language, spamming the forum with crappy setlists, and complaining about the good msuc. If they have their way Harmonix might put in their horrible music. Imagine a list dominated by bands like Linkin Park, Trivium, Fall Out Boy, MCR, and other assorted horrible music.

ok man, im not saying that those bands are bad or good or anything im just saying dont bash other peoples music by saying what you listen to is better. your ******ed if you think your music is better then anyone elses. music is 100% opinion. if you dont like something maybe someone elses opinion is different. just keep in mind other peoples views.

PS sorry for all the mistakes i typed this out very fast.

You need to get off your high horse. Just because you don't like bands like Linkin Park, etc, doesn't mean they suck and have no place in the game. Honestly, a band like Linkin Park is probably even MORE deserving of a place in the game than some of the obscure "good" music you most likely listen to, due to the fact that their music is more widely known.

First of all I don't really base my opinion on the popularity of music. A lot of the bands I like are or were very popular. I'm not on a "High Horse" (Ok maybe I am :P)

I try to see where you guys are coming from. Music is opinion. Than I hear the stuff you listen to. It's horrible. There are genres I don't like, but respect musically and culturally. Most genres besides these horrid offshoots of rock I respect. I recognize the talent that goes into them. For example, I respect rap, I realize that good rap takes talent to make, and it's a valid genre. Same with many other genres.

If people keep suggesting this music it's going to get in, and replace good music instead.

Offtopic, but Mr Blonde you're named after the character from Perfect Dark right?

Don't be a rock snob. Just because its new doesnt mean it sucks. I used to hate new music too, I listened only to classic rock, old metal, old punk and I thought "I'll never listen to anything thats new, because everything coming out sucks" I just kept looking for stuff that didn't suck and I discovered a bunch of stuff that I really liked. You really gotta scour the earth to find good music. Anything you hear on the radio or MTV is likely to be awful. Yay for the internet!

I was wrong to assume you listen to obscure bands. Though, to be fair, many times when I run into posts like yours, it's from someone who wants some obscure metal band I've never heard of. Also, I never claimed you were basing your dislike purely off of the musics popularity. (I'm not sure if the comment was aimed at me or not, so I just thought I'd clarify).

What bothers me though, is that you're saying bands of certain genres don't belong in the game because they're terrible. However you give no backing as to why you think they're terrible. Also, you're making some broad generalizations, by saying the entire genre of Nu Metal is terrible. Granted, there are some crappy bands and some crappy songs that fall into this category, but that doesn't mean the entire genre is ****. It just means you're not listening to the right songs/bands or you're so closed minded as to write the entire genre off based on a small subset of the genre.

All I really want to say is this. If you don't like the genre or bands or whatever, I'm certainly not going to change your mind. However, just because you don't like them, doesn't make them unworthy of being in the game, and it doesn't make someones setlist terrible because they include them. What I'm looking for is some tolerance. I don't care for a lot of the metal out there, but I don't go making posts saying "that band sucks" or "your tastes suck, mine are better". Like you said, music is opinion, and everyone has their own. The least you could do is be respectful of that.

Oh, and no I didn't get the name from Perfect Dark. I took it from Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs". Mr. Blonde was a badass.
