Anyone having trouble with the drums randomly not reading notes or just killing your multiplier?

I finish songs (medium) with 97-99% and the highest streak is usually around 30-40. it's ridiculous, and makes getting a good amount of stars (4-5) near impossible.

Anyone else having this issue?

oh, and my guitar crapped out AGAIN. The patch fixed it for maybe an hour. if even. (if the patch even fixed it.. maybe just not using it for 5 hours did the trick?)

I don't mean to doubt your skills or anything, but make sure that you're not unintentionally (or subconsciously) hitting the bass pedal on the wrong beats. I know that I tend to hit it when I'm not supposed to (especially on Mississippi queen on hard). I still get a high percentage, but I ruin my streak a lot.

Hopefully you're just adding extra notes, and your controller isn't messed up.

I'm going out on a limb here, but it seems that I have the opposite problem as all of you who have guitar problems.

My strat plays FINE. F.I.N.E. I actually really like the strumbar and the way the buttons feel.

However, the drum peripheral is fckin up hard core on me. It kills me that I can't just have the game and enjoy it for the very reason I've been waiting on it for so long.

A quick way to rule out user error: start up a song on slow in pratice mode - this should give you a fair amount of time in the pre-song freeform phase. Try hitting a single pad repeatedly, or doing a sequence you frequently see misses on, and see if there are cases when one of the pads just doesn't play.

For me, when I did this I found that even with no note synchronization in play, if I just play 8th notes on a pad, some hits just won't register with the game. Likely another manifestation of the issues deepbluevibes has seen, though it's bad enough to be affecting my ability to even 5-star easy songs, even though I'm pretty sure I have a solid grasp on the note patterns.

Fortunately the RMA process allows you to get a replacement before sending your own pad back, so you can suffer through low note streaks right up until the moment you've got your new pads in-hand.

Try the medical tape manuver i talked about in another thread; i'll have a video up of me playing a song with it on the drums tomorrow for anyone interested, was a good temporary fix for my drum problems until i get the time to send the drumset off to EA to get it replaced!

yeah this definitely happens, but I notice when I do it. It's just times when I KNOW i'm hitting the correct thing and it just craps out. It's really frustrating.
