Mainstream 90s music = UGH

that's exactly how i feel about mainstream 00's music with a few exceptions.

on-topic:
shudder to think's "pony express record" would rule as full album DLC.

I am a complete sucker for the lazy alternative sound that was heavily commercialized 12 years ago or so. Some mainstream 90s still has me captivated though, it wasn't all dull. ;)

System of a Sabbath-182

Well at least you admit that alot of it was lazy alternative sounding lol

Most mainstream radio type music from any time really is pretty lame or mediocre most of the time imo

But in the 80s and 00s they had and have more focus on catchiness and being upbeat that they didn't have much of in the other decades mainstream radio music really

Girls and Boys - Blur
Charmless Man - Blur

Being alive in the 90s had few requirements:
1: born before 2000 (earlier to enjoy the music)
2: a childhood haircut that was less fashionable than any self respecting 8 year old sports now
3: hearing 'In the Meantime' by Spacehog

You and I are clearly kindred Canadian spirits.
I love your Futurama quote in your name as well. Definitely a highlight among highlights.

Also, you know what else the 90's had? The good Finger Eleven.. well so did the year 2000 but after The Greyest of Blue Skies it was downhill

The 1990s was the most broad time for mainstream music development. Gotta love the tunes you grew up on. I'd love to play some Superchunk or Tonic.
