You could create your band and then have the option to play with or without your friends, switching on the fly as necessary. Whatever positions are open can simply be filled by the A.I. band members.

Harmonix,

The Band World Tour is a great new way to play through Rock Band. And I know that an online version of that mode has already been talked about, but why not also make it available for Solo Play? I've played through the Solo Tour and it's basically the same mode as Guitar Hero 1 & 2. That's fine for when I just wanna play through some songs, but it'd really be nice to manage my band and play through the extended game by myself.

You already allow for A.I. band members to fill those empty slots. And this would allow for me to play the full game whenever I want, w/o having to depend on my friends coming over all the time. Don't get me wrong, it's great fun to have everyone playing together in one room. It's definitely one of the best features of this game. But I'd hate to see that great mode go to waste for so many people out there.

I'm sure there are many others out there who would enjoy this mode as well.

You are the first person to think of this, lets see where it goes.

I think the same too... moreover I thought that world tour would be available on solo.... one more crappy thing about his game....

so what if we aren't 4 to play world tour? it's 4 player or nothing...? if it's so, that's really a bull****

it's at least 2 players, but you can cheat the system, by playing vocals and an instrument. It's supposed to be really hard to do, but if you know the lyrics to the songs, it shouldn't be too tough.

playing bass and singing at the same time isn't too bad, a friend of mine was doing that for awhile anytime the rest of our band went outside for a smoke. sometimes you don't even really NEED to know the words...

Wow, are you holding the mic w/ your cheek and shoulder? I'm having trouble adding the foot pedal to the mix.. I dunno if I'm gonna be able to manage two scroll bars at once.

I'd be great if you had more flexibility to switch your band members' music instruments. I dunno if I wanna play drums or sing vocals in every song, but if you pick them as your leader, you kinda have to. Great musicians can do it all!
