Does anyone else plan on seeing Them when They come to you? I am very excited for this concert and I expect it to be my favorite concert ever, and I've seen RUSH, REM, Modest Mouse, Boston, Styx, The Academy Is..., and many more. I cannot wait for this amazing concert. Weezer is my favorite band and it seems like a dream to me. :D

Ah, I wasn't aware that you were at the Rush and Boston/Styx concerts. Great venue setup, in my opinion.
Also, it's a negative on the Weezer for me.

You came down to Atlanta to see them?

Yeah. It was only a 3-or-so hour drive if I remember, which was well worth it for Rush and Styx (Boston was alright, but somehow they didn't quite do it for me at that show.) I had seats for Rush, but the lawn was every bit as good for Styx/Boston.

Yes they were very good shows indeed! I loved it when the singer for Styx sang a little bit of War Pigs lol.

I've never seen Weezer and probably never will. Buckethead (which was on Friday) rivals Maiden for best show I've ever seen, though.

I wish I could see them but I don't have money for that sort of thing. :(
Though I am accepting donations. :D

They did a cover of the Beatles "I am the Walrus," so when he started singing lines from other songs, I though maybe-- just maybe-- they would play it. Sadly, there was no walrus. But, yeah, it was still a great show.
What did you think about Boston? They were good, but...they dragged the songs out for way too long, in my opinion. Then they would link them all together with these 10 minute synth jams and...I don't know. It just seemed like Styx set the bar high and then Boston was a bit of a letdown.

Well, Styx is obviously more of a theatrical band and Boston is just there for the music. Now, I went there for Boston but Styx were better performers. I really did enjoy the keyboard jams and the extended Foreplay, though.

Boston was my main reason for going, too, though Styx was more memorable. Not to say Boston wasn't good. I also enjoyed the extended versions and keyboard jams...for a while.
I don't suppose Boston did anything particularly wrong...maybe our arses were just getting a bit tired after 2 hours on a blanket. :D

Around July this year. But I have loved Weezer since last October.

Ah, the $100+ seats, I assume. :D
Our seats weren't bad for $30 a piece. The main problem was that we were on a blanket, which was due to the fact that they don't allow chairs over a certain height since the lawn is on a downward slope. However, that same slope is the reason the lawn seats were still satisfactory, so I can't complain.

5 days till mine Oct 10th G.M. Place looking forward to it. I've seen a lot of bands this year too
Foo Fighters
QOTSA
Iron Maiden x2
Cruefest
Oasis
STP
Sloan
Against Me! x2
I expect Weezer to put a fairly good show they're gonna have to pull out all the stops to beat Maiden, Crue and STP though.
