Is anyone have problems getting your headsets to work with the adapter to plug in your drums or guitar? I plug in to my drums but my mic doesn't work, I can hear out the ear piece but my friends can't hear me talking.

I have the same issue. I just thought that I was doing something wrong. Is there a setting in the game to turn that mic on?

Same here. I have to use my messenger pad headset in the drums and guitar. So I'm still able to use it.

Took me about 1 hour last night to fix this. You have to push it in REALLY REALLY hard...then play around till it connects. It was quite annoying and THEN I noticed that the adapter REALLY dampens the quality of the voice over the system. So what I will be doing this weekend is going to radio shack to get a BETTER quality adapter to plug it in.

Ok, I have tried both headset adapters on both the drums and guitar and neither will work on either one. I was playing with a friend, and he said he could hear me for a split second and that was it. I tried pushing really hard, and/or messing with the connections, but nothing worked. The headset does work, I have tested it using the Xbox 360 controller, so I know the headset itself is fine. So it has to be the adapter. Don't know what else to do, everything else is great but this little problem is very frustrating.

I had this issue briefly earlier today. Monkeychow has the right of it. Make sure that your adapter is firmly in place before you clip the little black piece on, as it will keep the plug from making good contact.
Hope this helps you out some.

My headset adaptors do not work at all. I have a standard 360 wired headset that works perfectly when hooked into the controllers. When connected with the adaptors (either of them) they don't work when hooked into the guitar or the drums (or even the controller). I can't hear out of them and my voice doesn't get picked up.
I've tried forcing them in really hard and also talking while wiggling them in and out and at no point do they work. I'm gonna try my friend's equipment when I get back to NJ, but this is really annoying. I'd hate to have to return the whole bundle just to get 2 stupid adaptors that may or may not work.
One of you guys mentioned Radio Shack. Let me know what you come up with from that store.

I had this prob last night too.
It took me a few minutes of plugging and unplugging the black adapter wire...it was silent for a while, then finally came to life.
yeh, I bet another adapter wire from Radio Shack would help!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I bought a nice headset in preparation for this game. I tried the "jam it in" method and didn't get it. Now that I know others have done it, I'll go back and try again.
I have a ceiling vent in front of my TV that I hung the RB mic from so I could sing and play guitar, it worked pretty well, but not something I want to permanently have in my living room.
