My RB experience last night was perfect. I completed the first breackets on solo tour with guitar(expert) and drums(drums) and then my buddy came over and we started up BWT. We made a band called "Tears for Lube" it's our incredibly none straight Emo band. BTW HMX "The Emover" is a great name for a hairstyle. I'm still learning the strat as far as getting my hands down to the solo buttons fast enough. My friend says he prefers the les paul so we played on that mostly last night.
Metallica DLC is dominating our mystery charts. While neither one of us can do very well on teh songs once we get them it's going to be dominant. I did get some shin pain at tmes on the drums but it was just due to a busy song. resting you foot on the pedal helps a whole lot.
Anyways just wanted to say everything clicked together and a few more friends are comiong over tonight to give the game a go. Great work HMX I know your facing a few issues but I thought you should know that what you were shooting was acheived. We truly felt like we were in a band last night thanks.

I've also had a very good experience with RB as well. I didn't have any hardware issues after 6 hours of playing. I love playing with the new guitar and my younger sister loves playing on the drums. Singing with the mic was more fun than I expected too. By default the original singer drowns out your voice unless you sing really loudly which I find a good thing. For good singers and for people that want to hear their voice you can lower the volume of the original singer.

We had great experience playing RB last night as well. 2 Guitars, drums and a signer - who we hope will get better soon :) All of us we amazed that everything works, after experiencing GH3 :) No lag, no network issues - only thing, we had to disable dolby surround as it introduced some delay due to surround sound processing, but that did not take anything away from great gaming experience.

Thank you Harmonix / MTV Games for such great game. Because of you my wife agreed for me to turn our garage into "game cave" - something i was trying to do for quite some time, but only after she saw Rock Band and had so much fun with it, she understood the idea.

Couldn't have worded it better myself. I am thoroughly happy with my bundle. No issues whatsoever. The drums are amazing, and the visuals are truly stunning. Thank you Harmonix =) !!!!!!!!!!!!

I also had a great experience my first time with Rock Band. So did, surprisingly, my Guitar Hero hating fiance...If you can get a 25 year old girl that listens to country and pop to belt out "burning in my brain, I can feel the flames" then you've made a great game.

I really suck at the drums but when you do hit that groove (usually only for a few seconds in my case) it's indescribably awesome.

My only dislikes: The wires...if anything ever needed to be wireless, it's Rock Band. It looks like Snakes on a Living Room at my house, there are wires everyfreakingwhere. And the Strat, while a solid piece of equipment, could use a little improvement. There are too many harsh edges that throw you off when you bump into them, and the effects switch is a little too close to the strum, but those aren't deal breakers. For their first guitar peripheral, nice job.

Yup.. again, fantastic game. Played 8 hours with a 3 piece band then hit up 4 pieces for another 2 hours. As I said in another post, I was so exhausted and sore from drumming most of that time my right knee was CRAP when i went to bed. It's better now though! WOO! Time for a drum throne I think.. and yeah.. wow.. lots of cables... small sacrifice though.

BTW, did HMX put code in the game to annoy the hell out of the band for playing one song really well and then putting it in most of the mystery or request set lists... I swear all I could hear in my sleep was "I wish I was special". I think Creep has been the song our band is known for.. arrrgh :) At least it's easy to play on the drums... on medium anyhow.

I just wanted to add my voice to the crowd.

Awesome game!

I picked up my PS3 bundle yesterday, and after a little SNAFU (the PS3 box had all XBox 360 contents - got it exchanged fine), got home to get it set up. I ran through a few songs on each of the instruments then headed over to a friend's house where he was having a Rock Band party on his 360.

We started out with four members and two of the guys eventually had to take off after a few hours. I was pretty well rocking the singing portion and we were on a roll in our Band World Tour, so we just dropped the drums and I tried both singing and bass.

The only problem: we didn't have a microphone stand. No problem - I just stuck the microphone in the collar of my sweatshirt and positioned it so it was close to my mouth - then kind of had to chicken-neck my mouth down to sing. It worked like a charm, even though I could only get to Medium on the bass because I don't have all the words down on all the songs that pop up on random set lists and I knew I'd have to focus a lot on actually reading the lyrics as they came.

Anyway, I enjoyed that experience so much, and want to make sure I can play with all my friends on both PS3 and the XBox 360 that I stopped by Wal-Mart at 1 AM to pick up the 360 bundle too! Thank You, CapitalOne! :)

Yeah...Wal-Mart still had one in stock early Wednesday morning! I'll probably pick up an Explorer sometime today or this weekend to round out the set. Oh - and both of us are looking around for microphone stands, too.

Now I just have to find out where I'm going to put all the instruments in my apartment living room....

Our experience of 4 of us playing from 1am til 6am, consuming a case of energy drinks along the way was epic; easilly the greatest experience in gaming I've ever been a part of. Tuesday at work, on the other hand, was another story altogether..

Yeah, bravo, hats off to you Harmonix. This game is flat out amazing, everything I hoped for and then some. I see alot of people *****ing about the drums and about how they are too hard. Well I'm glad they made it hard, the replayability of the game just went through the roof. Before the game was released they said if you can play the in game drums on the hardest difficulty you can play the drums IRL. So the only people they have to blame is them self. Singing is about 10x more fun then what i expected, and for someone who plays real guitar the strat is sweet. It actually feels like you're holding a pick and the tension on the fret buttons actually feel like you're pressing strings down(not the texture but the action). Now I have one question.......

WHERE IS MY DLC DAMMIT!?

Actually just The Who and The Dead stuff. But overall awesome game.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks Rock Band is just an amazing experience. My leg was getting tired from the kick drum. I was getting whooped on the vocals for Gimme Shelter. I'm still getting used to the strum bar on the Fender and messing some songs up. But my girlfriend and I had the most fun we've had in a long time playing it and that is all we're doing on Thanksgiving. I couldn't be happier with the game.
