This is a serious question and not meant to give offense... But you can actually fail easy? I thought it just stayed in red the whole time =\

Yes, you can. I don't know if it works like GH2/GH3, where you can't fail a song on Easy for the first quarter or so of the song, but then the meter can continue dropping to a fail, but you can fail a song on Easy (I've seen it happen in multiplayer at demos, but I don't play on Easy so I couldn't tell you exactly how it works.)

I don't know how I did it, but I thought I was singing it alright and then all of a sudden my section started going red. and boom

I really really REALLY blow at singing. Dogs howl, cats screech and the dead rise. However I was able to get 5 starts on Paranoid in med difficulty. :)
Kick me while i'm down why dontcha ;)

Great game, played (mostly WBT) 10 hours yesterday with a 3 person band, got our fourth for the final couple hours. My knee (I was playing drums most of the time) was KILLING me last night (I need something higher than a kitchen chair). I feel hung over this morning like a true rock god should. :)
As for failing.. yeah the singing can be tricky, try not to shout, I find singing "with passion" obviously puts my voice WAY off pitch. Also the window for accuracy is narrower here (like between GH1 and GH2 and no where near as wide as GH3). But as was said, the note charts are easier to emphasize(sp?) precision playing (as a band should).

I absolutely love it, it's a joy to play with my friends. I have to say /applaud to Harmonix for this game, it really polished up nicely, it was worth the wait.
At first I was a little confused in BWT because I played a lot of songs twice / three times, but I soon found out that it's necessary to move on.
Everything out of the box worked flawlessly, the guitar is taking some getting used to, but it feels great overall.
The drums are amazing, I was a bit tired last night so I only played on Easy mode which was still a total blast!
I'm not a singer for the most part, I tried the singing and failed on easy mode...that gives you an idea of how bad I suck :).
Overall, awesome game Harmonix, I'm just blown away by how great this game is, it's by far the best one you've made yet.
I look forward to your future games / implementations of Rock Band.
Cheers,
