Go figure it has to happen on a music rythym game but Rock Band, with Dolby Digital enabled or not, has sound drop outs. It's the only 360 game I have that does this.
Anyone else running into this issue? It's so bad (really ruins the immersion when it happens 4 or 5 times in a song, sometcmes seconds after one another) I'm temped to play the game with the L/R RCA's.. uuugh.

I experienced these sound drop outs too... It had happened before with my audio system, I have a ps3. I used to just jiggle the optical audio cable and that would do the trick. But last night no amount of messing with the cables made the dropout stop... I'm wondering if it's a problem in the game.

That's odd. I'm unsure what procedure HMX has for bug reporting, aside from they watch the forum like a hawk. I'm sure once they figure out the cause they'll patch a fix ASAP.

Hope so... Kinda sucks there's all these problems with RB... I'm still happy, and excited to play again!

With 3 peripherals in 20+ pieces in a 20lb box for a game that only got announced shortly before E3, I expected a few hiccups.

Actually folks. It turns out it was my optical cable. I guess when I was plugging in the usb hub yesterday I must have nudged the cable (it doesn't look like it seats terribly well in the 360 A/V adapter .. dongle.. thingy). Anyhow I pushed it back in snug and played at lunch for 40 minutes, not a single drop out. Woo!
So short of CDN DLC, I'm a happy camper... err rocker.. whatever. :)
