Ok I am going to let everyone know how to get a 2nd working guitar since we got royally screwed over with this who GH3 deal.

DISCLAIMER: I strongly feel that you should NOT do this because Harmonix should NOT have screwed us PS3 owners over. They better damn well release a patch to make the GH3 controller work especially considering it says works with most controllers on the box and we have been hearing for months that it would work.

Having said that I know there are people out there that don't care about money and just want to play the game to its fullest so here is the deal.

Go to this link: http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/rockband.php

Put in PS3 version, and that your guitar is not working. It will ask for your credit card. They will then ship you a new guitar. If you dont ship them a broken guitar back within 28 days it will charge you for the replacement guitar.

Again.... I am not encouraging people to do this since it only puts more money in the hands of those who screwed us over.

How much will they charge for a new guitar though?

It doesn't really say.

Express Replacement

If you?re in a rush, we would be happy to send your replacement immediately. Once you receive it, you would package up the original equipment and return it in the same box with pre-paid postage. To ensure we receive the original equipment we?re replacing, we will require a credit card. To validate the card, a pre-auth charge by ELECTRONIC ARTS WWW.EA.COM will be made to your credit card, but will not be finalized. You may see this charge on your statement for a couple of days, but it will disappear.

If for some reason we do not receive your return within 28 days, your card will be charged for the cost of the replacement equipment, plus a $20.00 handling fee.

All transactions will be sent by 2-day Air Delivery and should arrive in 3-5 days.

As I said I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS as we don't deserve to have to go through this and pay this crazy amount of money HOWEVER, there is probably a few people who have mega dollars and don't care. I am not one of them.

I'd be tempted to try it, but I'm already after spending more than I should've on eBay to get the bundle in the first place.

I wonder what they'd say if I just shipped them back the GHIII Les Paul :p

I'm sure you would have a 70+20 dollar charge as well as loosing your GHIII les paul :)

Hell maybe i'll say it's damaged just to get a 2nd one for a few weeks lol. Then send one of them back. Hahaha....regardless i hope something is done. some official word that "we cant make a patch" so i can stop hoping.

Your even more evil than I am.

ooo, that is tempting.

Could always trade in GH3 + the GH3 Les Paul, put that towards buying a new game, then with the money i dont have to spend on the new game, i can put towards paying EA for the controller i mustve forgotten to send them.

Being in australia i dunno how well that'd work out for me though. I've already sent them an e-mail asking where i stand with their replacement thing.

This is tempting, unsure if it'd work as I'm in the UK and also a bit dubious about exactly how much it'd cost me as it doesn't say.

If it's the retail price of the guitar then that's no so bad.
