Seeing all the negative posts on the site had me worried about my hardware. Items not recognized, strum bars not strumming, the patch messing up guitars that were working and all the other unfortunate events had me concerned.

When they say only .01% will have [insert catastrophe here] occur I am that .01%.

I am amazed and happy to report I have no issues. Well almost no issues as I got no sleep thanks to the addictive nature of the game. Even my wife who is a major non-gamer couldn't resist singing after I forced her to sing one song. (I never thought I would be thankful for Bon Jovi on there.) She even found out she liked some songs she had never heard of before. (She never heard Creep?!)

The guitar is incredible and makes the explorer feel like the outdated controller it is. The drums are responsinve and a hell of fun even if I do suck at them. I could make the deaf shriek in agony when I sing but I have to admit I enjoyed trying it.

Thank you Harmonix for making such a fun game. Now if you guys could make insta-sleep in a can I would be set.

No problems here after 5 hours of constant play.....well, except like you - lack of sleep.

I'm in that same boat! So I was pretty depressed yesterday after reading about everyone's hardware problems. However, I have absolutely no issues either. BTW, I've got it for 360.

Played some expert guitar, hard vocals, and finished the Easy solo tour on the drums. Incredible. I'm having a party this weekend, so it'll be hella fun.

Harmonix, I've been following your games ever since Frequency on PS2, and you guys never disappoint. Also, huge thanks for the incredible manual lag calibration feature. I can actually play RB on expert! (I couldn't on GH2 & GH3 on 360)

While I've had some issues (can't quite get the calibration right between my TV and my Stereo and my eyes/reflexes...along with the no GH3 guitar), everything has worked well. We've been trying to get some finals done for classes as well as pack for our thanksgiving trip and every night we are up till midnight playing this stupid thing. My 62 year old mother even came over last night to play. She was rocking out pretty good on the guitar and then, when my wife got home and played on the guitar, my mom grabbed the mic and sang the 3 songs she knew while I was on drums. We had so much fun. We haven't played anything together since Wii Bowling and that wasn't nearly as cohesive of a multiplayer experience.

Good job harmonix. I'm still pissed about a few things, but last night was the most fun my family has had together in a long time.

Do you have a digital setup or an analog setup? The fault lies within the sound system and not the game itself.

The only problem I'm having is that my drum stool hurts my butt after about 6 hours. ;)

UPDATE:
After almost a week of some hard playing by 6 different people I still have no hardware issues. My brother who plays drums wanted to use his own drumsticks which kind of scared me at first. They were definitely larger and heavier then the ones RB comes with. It survived his assault with no problems thankfully.

While I love the new guitar my one brother was mixed about it and felt he would get used to it and my other brother preferred his xplorer. Of course he doesn't like my xplorer either so me might be too picky.

Great game and great fun.

I thought mine was okay too... but after playing it for 2 days, it broke. :(
No more down strum :( I think it will happen to all of them due to design.
I am awaiting my replacement guitar & drum set as the D pad did not work on it.

Does HMX have any testing?
Or did they just rush it out to make the holiday shopping season?
