Sorry if this has already been covered. Does the Date on the box correspond to the strum issue? I just picked up a set stamped Sept 27 & I wasn't sure if I should crack it open yet.

mine says oct 22nd and my strum bar still works, but its exrteeamly loose compared to when i first picked it up, and im conviinced will eventually stop working

How many hours have you put on yours so far? Sounds like your still better off than most around here.

yeah i played from 12 noon to 11 at night with no rpblem, but already after one day is already feeling very loose and i believe will crap out sooner than later

Mine says Oct 17 and everything works perfectly fine for me...

I got one from Sept. 27th from Target with a broken guitar (the strummer works, but not the effects switch and sometimes nothing at all works) and I also got an Oct. 13th one from EBGames online, whose guitar works perfectly so far.

I think mine say Oct 7th or 17th.. working fine.. 10 hours of use yesterday with various players.

Mine's dated October 8th, and I encountered the double downstrumming on a downstrum issue within about 6 hours of playtime. The patch did not resolve the issue.

I bought two bundles, to get two Strats.

After about 7 hours of constant play on both, they're doing fine.

Both boxes are dated early October.


Edit: Friday. Both Strats having downstrum issues. On one, I tried the fix at Quartertothree...

... and am having decent success. Still missing some notes, but may just need to be tightened more. Experimenting with the second guitar tomorrow. and will report back.
