At work and need someones help!

Hi everyone

I am working on a solution to making the drums a little quieter when you are banging on them and need someones help as I am at work and do not have access to my drums.

If someone could measure the round diameter of the four drums (***not the whole diameter, just the grey part!***) and post the measurements I would greatly appreciate it!

I believe the diameter is 8", but am not at home to measure. Make sure to post your results, a lot of us are doing mods and it will be good to collect all the information.

Ok I cut some 1/8" black rubber gasket that im going to put over my drum pads... Ill post results when I get off work!:D

from gray to gray I've got 6.5"..

I stuck some gray camping foam (the kind that is usually sold in sheets that look like an egg carton on one side) on the pads and it works great. Dulls the sound a ton but still registers the hits fine as long as you attach the foam well.
