Give me some Dave Matthews Band. Carter Beauford is a very technical drummer and would make for some excellent RB DLC.

I've never heard many DMB songs, but doesn't his band consist of many more instruments than just the 4 ones in RB? How would they handle something like that?

They just play the instruments in the background... EG you dont have to play the Synthesizer in Wont Get Fooled Again do you?

Anything by As I Lay Dying would be awesome/hard as hell. Parkway Drive and Unearth would be nice too, but AILD is on the top of my most wanted list.

Norma Jean's Robots 3 Humans 0 off of the new album has an interesting drum pattern, plus its pretty rock-ish so it would be a good fit for the game

Lack of Comprehension was the first song off Human that really got me into their more progressive stuff. It would be awesome to see that song in the game, but any Death would really be nice.:D

Decrescendo by RX Bandits. Check it out here, you will not be disappointed: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89171. Christopher Tsagakis has a few side projects of his own too, all of them impressive.

I just thought of a new one besides wolf is loose, how about Black Hearts Now Reign by Unearth, that song has an awesome drum fill in

Umm... One Hard Drum fill doesnt make it a Extremely hard song, it takes quite a few, like in YMB... except without such easy breaks, especially cuz u can just skip the fill with an overdrive fill if you time it right

You realize that HMX can slow down and increase/decrease the volume on the tracks right? That makes it much easier to tell how many notes there are in the song, what's being played where, etc.

FTW, this song will tear you apart. Leaving out any form of Metal (since they try to be "extreme"):
Blue Oyster Cult - The Red & The Black
Cream - NSU
Genesis - The Musical Box
Grateful Dead, The - Alligator
Hella - Madonna Approaches R&B Blonde Wreckages ... actually, damn near anything
Incubus - A Crow Left Of The Murder
Jimi Hendrix Experience, The - Fire
Mars Volta, The - Goliath ... actually, damn near anything
Sonic Youth - Silver Rocket
Wolfmother - White Unicorn

anything by decapitated would be hard to drum :P. Most black metal would be as well seeing how most of them double bass it (good luck on that with 1 pedal :P) grindcore would be tough as hell with blasting
Månegarm - I gryningstimma
decapitated - poem about an old prison man
bolt thrower - in battle there is no law
borknagar - the genuine pulse
brainstorm - despair to drown
catamenia - the ancient
death angel - mistress of pain
disgorge - scid
corpus christii - my eyes empty
vomitory - flesh passion
vital remains - dechristianize
windir - dauden
watain - sworn to the dark
usurper - cryprobeast
vader (not a band i really like but would fit this thread) - warlords
obituary - suffocation
nifelheim - gates of damnation
strife - blistered
stratovarius - speed of light
running wild - apocolyptic horsemen
ragnarok - crowned as prince of darkness
purgatory - dreadful sea
sonata arctica - full moon
sodom - incest
sorry for the long list :P

that's your opinion dude, how much metal have you actually listened to besides the pop stuff...i mean not many people can say that they can out drum vitek (rip) of decapitated. BTW, not all metal is "extreme" i'll save that for the hot topic lovers because i don't stick to 1 genre of metal i like it all except nu, mellodic death, and poser bands like pantera. So i could jump from power metal to death or black metal in a flash

Spiral Architect craps on most of this stuff in terms of difficulty.
