Creating an avatar

I've been trying to get an avatar to appear next to my posts but have been unsuccessful thus far. Do you have to do something other than adding a picture to your profile? I've tried everything and would like some help. Thank you.

Go to User CP in the forums (upper right) and go to 'Edit Avatar' and you should be all set!
