Account Creation is pretty broken

I tried a dozen times to create an account. Each time it would either not show an account verification number or I would enter it (very carefully) and it would say I entered the wrong number. I am pretty sure this is somehow a side effect of the massive traffic, probably it works fine when one user at a time is trying to register or something?

Anyway, somebody needs to review the code or update the module that does the number verification.
