So, I had to pick up 2 copies yesterday morning during school at BB (one for me and one for a my Rock Club at school) and after that, I went to school, took 2 tests, and then set up RB for a the club for all who wants to play play. Thankfully, everything was taken care of and not misused (remember, the one I set up was my club's copy, my copy stayed in the box until later that night). So, I get home later that night and set up my copy, using my guitar as guitar and my clubs guitar as bass(I took them both home) and it's really weird 'cause both of the boxes were packaged differently. My club's packaging was the same as in this article: http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/10/gallery-rock-ba.html
but my packaging was so much different. The guitar, game, mic, and hub packing were the same as in my club's copy, but the drums were what really were different not in just packaging, but the product too. I opened it and I easily pulled everything out without any twisty ties or anything; the 2 stands, the metal tubes, all of which were wrapped in plastic unlike the other box and the metal tubes were packaged separately with the drumsticks with bookends of cardboard on both ends unlike the other box. The plastic wrapping over the drums wasn't taped, so I easily pulled the drums out unlike how I had to rip the other drums apart to get to them. The only thing twisty tied down was the bass pedal, with this cord just laying next to it as if it were just thrown in there (which I know it wasn't). Also, after comparing my club's bass pedal and mine, I realized they're both different. First, under the heel of my bass pedal, there's like a plastic imperfection dot, unlike the other. Also, the metal rod at the heel of mine is smaller and enclosed with black plastic on the bottom of the pedal, rather than the other one in which it is larger and exposed. Next, the orange plastic thing under my bass pedal is screwed by black screws, rather than silver screws on the other and the detail on the orange thing is different than the other. Also, the box at the top of the base of the pedal has no screws on the bottom of it, rather than the other one that does. Next, on my pedal, there are many of those flat plastic dots, those that you'd see on a prototype or something. A few more things, sorry... the rubber stoppers on the bottom of my pedal are thinner and have a pattern of tiny, tiny squares on them, as opposed to the other one that are thick as all hell and with large squares as the pattern. Next, if you look on the bottom of the pedal, the hole in which the spring goes into is open as opposed to the other one which is closed. Then finally, the wire on my pedal that goes to the drum kit is much thinner than the other one and much shorter too.

Now these differences don't bother me that much because it's pretty cool to have a different model and such, but what bothers me the most is that my Guitar's down strum bar just broke and we only used it last night and this morning. The Guitar is much lighter than the other one too. But, the same thing happened with the BB guitar; it's light and the down strum broke within days of setting it up. Yes, I already reported the guitar to EA and tried what they told me to do, which was spray each side of the strum bar with compressed air, and it didn't work. So, they're gonna send me a box to send mine back and then they'll send me a new one.

I was worried that mine might be a demo copy, but it contains the full game and everything else other than the drum kit and guitar inside was correct and with no defects. Can anybody shed some light on the my situation, or at least point me in the direction of someone else who can?

Thanks guys and sorry for the novel I just wrote. Had to let it out. :D

The controllers were made at a bunch of different factories. Your home copy likely was just amde at a different factory that had a slightly different mold or color layout for the parts. as long as it works it shouldn't matter.
