DLC/Support Outside US - Timeframe?

Let's try asking this question without the 'OMG you phail' statements from the other users on this board...

There are a few people who have imported the game, only to later find out that the DLC is only available in the US for now. And no, I'm not even upset in the slightest. I have enough of the game to play in the coming weeks to tie me over, but what I am wondering is if this will be made available only when the game is released in Canada or Europe. My guess is yes, but I would just like some clarification from Harmonix on this to finally put it to rest.

This might also be related to those importers that have had issues with dealing with support from EA, that they will only be able to deal with the US. So maybe we can kill two misconceptions with one reply.

Okay, do you know if we in Canada will get all the DLC that has been released in the weeks between the US and Canada releases? Like in one big content drop?

Or will we be forever behind by a few weeks, because that would seem strange and make online play of DLC that much harder.

Thanks for the reply Sean...what I'm wondering is...will all the DLC released to the U.S between now and the Canada launch be available as well when it does launch in Canada? I would think so...but there's been a few Canadian setbacks so far, so never know. :P

I think we know this ('released alongside the game in other countries') not to be the case right as Canadians have access to the DLC via PSN right now. (I can't personally confirm, but it's been said by others here).

The timeframe doesn't bother me as much as the potential shortage of available content outside of the US.

I'd prefer that most 'official' HMX/MTV/EA comments aren't made with the expectation they're talking US-only. Also that "North America" <> "The United States of America" (a reference to the press release about release dates and the excuse most recently passed down). At least if they say "details about the other regions will be announced at a later date" and no one can assume anything anymore and therefore there's no expectation to result in disappointment.

My understanding is that DLC will be released alongside the game in other countries. As for the issue with customer support I am trying to get info on that right now.

I'm also curious about this. Perhaps they underestimated the amount of Canadians that would be ressourceful enough to get their hands on the game and, realizing the demand, will release the DLC for us.
