it's not like not using for a week will fix it. Use it and if it break just submit to EA for a new one. I'm using mine whenever I get the chance.

Enjoy the hardware for what it is, and if the worst scenario happens, there's support in place to take care of it.

Worst case scenario you're without a piece while they mail you a new one.

I was the same way. After reading a lot of posts, I was very hesitent at 1st to let loose. But the beers kept flowing and I got more and more into the game. By the end of the night I was playing pretty hard. We played around 8 hours on the Guitar and so far no problem. (Knock on wood).

I think the ones that are defective (or whatever) are going to break regardless. Just play and have fun and hope you don't have a bad one.

Not to beat a dead horse, here but... I would rather have the clickity clack of the Explorer strum bar if that way of doing it is more reliable.

If anything, you WANT to play and break the thing. If it's going to break better than it happens during the 60 day warranty... if you let the thing sit aside too long and only then discover it's got a busted strummer, you'll be screwed.

Play the thing as you would normally play an xplorer. If it can't take the heat, it's defective. There is no "You should play more gently" -- these things are guitars! You wail on them! And if a normal, GH1 or GH2 level of wailing will break them, that's what we call product replacement fodder, not standard operating equipment.

I really like the fender and think its a cool looking guitar. I also like the solo frets. But there is just something about the strum bar that makes me nervous. I have heard all of the downstrum problems and i have yet to come across any myself, but the strum bar itself feels really weird to me. I am scared to really hit it and get those quick sections in the game, when i wouldnt be when i play with the other guitars. I thought those people complaining about the non-clicky strumbar were crazy, but maybe i am leaning towards them as well. i am really nervous to go all out and play really fast on it. I dont want it to break. I wouldnt say the strumbar feels cheap, but there is just something about it that is holding me back. Anyone else?

Also, i still cant make out the HO's and PO's all the way. I can see them sometimes, but i usually dont try them because i am scared that its not a ho or a po.

Other than that, there are a lot of great things about this game. I love the fact that you can add to your overrdrive while its activated. Thats great.
