There are a few threads about guitar compatibility, but the only ones I remember are the ps3 Les Paul complaint ones:p

yeah, I'm hammering F5 waiting for an answer on the compatibility issue. As of yet, NONE of the controllers on the market are supported in Rock Band PS3.

Yeah, here in Europe, Guitar Hero 3 releases tomorrow, and part of my decision on buying it depends on the compatibility with Rock Band.
