The best(in my opinion)music DVD is Metallica's S&M (with the San Francisco Symphony.)

Incredible sound and visuals. Pure epic.

All my other music DVD's pale in comparison, and I have quite a few.

How would they go about releasing a music DVD? Just have the DVD playing in the background as you play to the songs?
Pretty cool idea, if this is it.

Dream Theater - Score
Dream Theater - Live at Budokan
Pearl Jam - Immagine in Cornice

Because these are the only ones I have, save for DT's cover of DSotM.
I've got Opeth's The Roundhouse Tapes DVD preordered, so that'll be up there as well (The CD is phenomenal, so it can only get better to be able to watch it).

Nine Inch Nails- ...And All That Could Have Been
Dream Theater- Scenes from a Memory
Pink Floyd- Pulse

edit: Seeing a lot of people picking NIN and DT makes Tsavo happy. (writing in third person does not).

I forgot these in my original posts and dunno how they could do it since there are 3 guitarists but i love all 3 of the G3 DVD's Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson or Yngwie Malmsteen or John Petrucci

Have you seen the Kiss live from Sydney Australia with orchestra and choir? It blows the Metallica set away. And I love Metallica.

I think It's awesome when a band performs with an orchestra, The one collective soul DVD I have is like that, It's pretty sweet.

Nine Inch Nails - Woodstock II

It never saw an official release (was on PPV back in the day and you can usually find copies on ebay or on torrent sites) and is one of the most energetic NIN shows I have seen, especially due to the fact that all the songs are heavier and a little faster than the album versions.

BEST. CONCERT. EVER. (imo) Beastie Boys - Awesome! I F***ing Shot That. They handed out cameras to the crowd and the concert is shot from EVERY "conceivable" angle. Even the Men's Room.:D
