So my wife and I start jamming through World Tour last night. Only problem is I want to gig, gig, gig and she wants to shop, shop, shop. You know, customize her character with the latest outfits, hairstyles, makeup etc.
Now she's out of cash and we HAVE to gig.
To cut to the chase, thank you Harmonix for making such a great game that appeals to a broad range of people and allows everyone from casual players to hardcore plastic-instrument rockers to have fun. Hey honey, enough shopping already!!!

Too funny man. My wife was dollin' herself up last night as the front woman to my band. She is a little hot redhead though so I don't mind :)

How realistic ;)

Awesome. I really like the customization for the characters, and I'm afraid it's going to be like Forza, where I spent more time painting my cars and creating realistic decals than driving the cars...

I told my girlfriend I'd kick her out of the band if she was in the clothes shop for more then 2 minutes. lol :P

Haha my GF was doing the same thing. I went to eat dinner and she said she was going to play a couple songs in the solo tour. When I was done eating, she was still in the shop and hadn't played a song yet.

I'd like to add that this just illustrates what a good job they did of creating something that appeals to a wide range of people. FINALLY, a game our SO's won't gripe about!

For real eh? I got Forza 2 bundled with my system, and I only ever play it on easy (not a big racer) but I fugging LOVE painting my cars. I pretty much just race to justify the paint work ;)
I even made an Ontario vanity licence plate with shading, which on its own is like 30 layers.
Although in another thread it sounds like you can't do the equivallent of 'save group' for the band logo, which means, to me, that putting your band logo on a shirt, instrument, or tattoo might be unfortunatly labour intensive.

No doubt. The shopping/character customization angle helps out with the SOs, but the setlist also seems to be a lot more appealing to a wider audience. In the first hour we'd already jammed to Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Pixies, Weezer, Radiohead, Nirvana. We also had a lot of fun with the "mystery" element. Gimmie Shelter=Killer stuff.
My wife also only tolerates GH. She hates tier 7 & 8. That's "play it when I'm in bed" territory. RB will unite the band...
