Thank God they credited them as The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

It appears they've gone backwards from GH:A and it's even worse than GH 3. Guess they really want people to buy that new guitar.

Wow. It's like watching the Muppet Show. Only worse.
I didn't know they put that douche bag Ted Nugent in the game. Eff him.

Yup.
These videos confirm it.
I'm not spending a dime on this game.
Kudos to everyone out there that's excited for it, and I hold no judgement against them, but I think this game looks terrible. These vids make me appreciate HMX even more.

lag was terrible but the video of Mr. Crowley should be seen. It's such a fun solo!

Cool stuff, but the lag looks weird. The frets disappearing etc it distracting.

The only thing cool I found, about the drumming at least, is that they have sustained cymbal notes. You just hit the 2 back and forth repeatedly. Pretty cool, but that's the only thing innovative that I could find...

That's actually a pretty good selection, but the question remains if they can keep it up after launch week. Still, it's nice to read that you can finally get individual tracks as well (although I wonder what the price tag'll be).

This should have been a post about my own experiences with GH:WT, but it isn't, because Activision screwed up. They were supposed to have GH:WT available to play at a nearby games event tonight, but apparently canceled because, get this, 'our storage depot was robbed last night'. So either they have the most incompetent security team ever, or the lamest excuse ever, I can't decide. It's a shame, though, I was really looking forward to playing it.
Fun fact: to compensate, one of the organizers had brought his own Rock Band kit instead, and people were really enjoying it... so that's some free PR for you thanks to Activision, HMX :D

I guess they should call it not-so world tour!
Seriously, that sucks though. Wonder if they are trying to cover up hardware shorts.... /conspiracy

Either way, it makes me happy I ordered my bundle from the UK... unless roving bands of chavs have stolen all the goodies there as well :D

The people who stole the games will probably give them back because they failed Satch Boogie so many times.

I have a question about the solo in Beat It I hope you can answer. In the touch strip section, are all of the notes strummed notes, basically requiring you to use the touch strip. It would be kind of lame if the song was ridiculously harder because the notes weren't hammer-ons and required the new guitar to play well.
Edit: I guess you don't have to strum it (wording was a bit confusing)... but it would make more sense to mark the notes as hammer-ons in addition to touch strip, otherwise it seems like guesswork the first time you play it.

when you see those purple lines it means you don't have to strum at all- you can either treat it as a chain of hammer-on's or you can use the touch strip. up to the player.

So does that mean when you get the purple line thing and you miss one of the HO series, you won't have to strum again to continue (like when you use the solo buttons during the solos in RB)? If so, does this work with the regular buttons and the touch strip?
Overall I still like the look, gameplay and setlist of RB2 better, but I just have to get the GH:WT disc so I can play Death Magnetic on drums! The drums on those songs sound like they'll be crazy fun to play.

That looks hideous to me.
Also, whoever was singing was horrible.
But thanks for sharing the videos.

Yes. It works with both the regular buttons and the touch strip.

I have nothing against the game and I plan to get it, but I agree with many that the art style is just attrocious to me now.
Also, the drums seem ok, but those cymbals are going to be a nightmare for RO to support. I hope they have a liberal warranty policy on these things or it's going to be a PR debacle.
GTA: GH
The bass touch thing looks good.
Everything else looks bad.

Thanks for clarifying about the touch strip sections. When I first saw it and they didn't appear to be hammer-ons, I was all

I actually would like to pick up GHWT but for some reason that game makes me motion sick. :/

Sweet Home Alabama
Assassin
Santeria
Band on the Run
Purple Haze
Wind Cries Mary
Hot For Teacher
Beat It
Mr. Crowley
Crazy Train
Hotel California
Rebel Yell
Trapped Under Ice
The Joker
Are the only ones worth playing. And with the already announced DLC:
1979
Hot Blooded
Jessies Girl
Elvis (rumored)
Paradise City (rumored)
Nightrain (rumored)
That makes 19 tracks, and 1 or 2 of those should come under the free DLC. Most likely Band on the Run, Sweet Home Alabama, or Santeria.
Worth a buy for me (for the sole fact of Nightrain and Band on the Run. Instant buy if it was RB DLC) , But needs less repeats. I don't really like Tool anyways, so it's just wasted space having TWO of their songs on the DISC. Really? I can understand hendrix, but TOOL?! And if anyones gonna get more GNR, it's RB2. If Paradise City, Nightrain, or Elvis were licensed they would be on the disc. And then throw out Prisoner of Society and what not for DLC. HMX is more generous to older artists, too. So either:
Some n00b leaked the songs for the wrong game.
Or
Pulled it out of his ass. "Liek omgz, guitar hero has hendrix! Their bound to get liek, elvis! And Guns N'Roses! Let's create a fake list and make people believe its ryeal! Rofl!"
They both sound very likely to me. While GH will murder Wings and/or Ozzy.
I refuse to see Mr. Crowley as the next Crazy Train, or Band on the Run as the next Welcome to the Jungle. RB didn't ruin The Who, GH shouldn't ruin Paul McCartney.

I don't really understand your post to be honest. It's mostly filled with personal opinions.
