Random lockups after playing drums?

So, I'm about to toss the whole set out the window. I've had my 360 lock up approximately a dozen times since I hooked the game up sometime yesterday afternoon, most of the lock ups occur after drum sessions (some random ones during guitar sessions). My most recent one was right after playing "...And Justice For All", it just locked up on the LOADING screen right before song selection. Sometimes it locks up right before the song begins or in character selection. I know it's not an overheating problem since the back of the 360 is free of any extra wires and has plenty of breathing room.

Is anyone else having THIS many lock ups? It's making drum sessions practically out of the question since I can play a song or two and know that I'll have to reset the 360 shortly after I finish that last song.

OK great, that's two lock ups today on guitar sessions in addition to the ones I had later last night. I'm getting ready to package this crap up and send it back to Circuit City since I guess I'm the only person having random lock ups.
