Quick question! How do you use the Mic?

I really want to try singing! but whenever I plug in my mic my xbox just doesnt seem to recognize it.... and theres no buttons anywhere on the mic so how do i get it to work?

You need to turn on a regular Xbox360 controller, as that is what the singer will use to select difficulty and what-not as well.
