Downloading V1.01 on PS3

When signing into the PS network Update Utility say's "The latest update date for this game has been found. To sign in and play this game, you must update the game to the latest version. The system will quit the game and start installing Version 1.01" after hitting "OK" the PS3 system backs out to the main menu and attempts to sign in and comes back with "error, unable to connect".

What is up, is the server down?

Check your settings. Mine works fine. Just downloaded the Metallica pack! WOOOO!

There are two patches you need. the 11mb one and the new PS 2.01 update. Check your updates again.

Can you connect to the internet just fine?

How about the PS Store?

If those both work, make sure you are fully updated, and then shut down, restart, and try again.

It took me a couple tries as well. Plus I still get signed out sometimes. But I got the updates!

I've got the PS 2.01 update no problem, but the 11mb v1.01 still will only get to about 13% and not continue anymore??

I have no issues connecting to the internet or the PS store

I've shutdown, restarted tried and treid and I still can't get this %$@& thing!

It took me about a dozen tries to get the Rock Band v1.01 update to download. It would get stuck at some percentage (usually in the teens). I just kept restarting it and eventually it went through.

Note that you can also bypass the update and play the game anyway, you just can't log any scores or play online. I don't remember the exact keypress to do that, but it's there somewhere. The only downside is the game would keep reminding you that you weren't logged in, which is kindof annoying.
