XBOX 360/ Gamer Card/Solo mode and unlockables borked!

Ok so I played the game with some of my friends and I wanted to open some more songs and what not for my main profile on guitar solo career so I did and it gave me some achievements. Well then I though I would like to start a career through drums as well to get some practice for when I am a drummer. Well guess what! In Solo mode you can't.....just like in band mode your xbox gamer tag is linked to the instrument so I would have to create a new gamer tag i.e. controller 2 and go through solo mode through drums on it unlocking things only for that gamer card...NOT MY MAIN ONE THAT I ACTUALLY USE FOR XBOX LIVE.:mad: So that means that you can't go through all the different solo modes with your live gamer card...only 1 instrument can on a gamer card!!!! WTF guys!!!!! FIX THIS PLEASE!!!! There is no options to change instruments therefore I cannot go through all the cool modes on my main gamer card and show that I have unlocked everything and get the 1000 achievement points like I am supposed to be able to as a rule on every xbox live branded game!!!!! THIS NEEDS ATTENTION!!! FAST!!!!!

Thats not correct! You just have to logout and log back in with your account onto that instrument. Its the same with ANY 360 controller. If you have you have your 360 setup to autologin with an account, that main acccount will autologin to the first controller with that accoutn regardless of what it is. You have to check yourself what controller you are playing with and what your logged into.

No, you can log back on to your primary gamer tag with a different instrument controller.
For example, if I select solo tour with the guitar controller and log in with my primary tag, I can only play or create guitar characters. But if I back out to the main menu and select solo tour with the drum controller, I can log in with my primary tag again and create or play drum characters.

That isn't the case. I have tried that last night it will say plug in guitar controller if you are trying for the drums regardless because that main profile is attached to the guitar controller NOT the drums it recognizes that stuff give it a shot and see

You know what I do? Unplug instrument 1, plug in instrument 2.

The game recognizes you've switched instruments and still keeps you as player 1.

Are you getting gamertags mixed up with avatars?

You can create multiple avatars/characters under the same gamertag. However, characters created are locked into their specific instruments. So a character created when the guitar is plugged in can only be used for guitar/bass, while a drummer for drums, etc

Hmmm so what your telling me is only plug in one instrument and go through the main menu? into solo mode? But when I do that it has my guiarist and when you create a new charcter he is still holding a guitar not drum sticks. So it still would not work in that way have you guys tried this?

You can leave all the instruments plugged in, just make sure you are using whatever instrument you want to use to go into the solo tour mode and get to the character select/create screen. I was doing this last night and it worked every time.
Use the controller to select/create singers.

I think you think your having one problem but you are really having another.

You create a charachter on a guitar. Lets call him Guy1. Guy1 is on your gamertag. Lets call it Gamertag1.

Now you want to play the drums. You sign out Gamertag1 on your guitar, and then sign in on your Drums. Then you have to create Guy2 that is a drummer.

You can do the solo tour with your gamertag on all the instruments, but you have to create different charachters for each instrument. I guess they think one guy can't play 2 instruments for some reason.

Thanks EVERY one for the quick responses..I wish his was all in the instruction booklet that came with ROCKBAND but alas it was not:( I think this might solve all the problems I hope any way!
