Is there a way to make a person that can play all instruments?

I dont get it. Is it by design that if you make 1 person, they can only play the instrument that you set them up through?

What is the purpose of that design? I dont get it.

i think you are right about the characters being locked to an instrument. It is kind of annoying.

exactly, not to mention I like having my singer looking different than when I have a character playing the guitar.....what's the point of all those custom options if nobody wants to use them.
I personally LOVE the fact that I can in theory be a GFX/tattoo artist w/minimal effort, and I hated looking at the same template of 6-10 options for GH characters, so i'm thrilled w/variety....and hope there's more to come. (I wouldn't pay much for other options, but it would be great if they were patched in)

although it is aggravating if you're in a "party" atmosphere and everyone has to create their own people/profiles ect. but it only has to be done once for a casual gamer/make a few custom characters on your gamer profile for each instrument and people can easily swap.

as for people that are anal about signing into their OWN profiles and getting achievement points, yes def a drawback but nothing to cry about.
having the band tied to a band leader IS by far the biggest problem IMHO, and even that is really just nitpicking.
