No 3rd party or 1st party controllers working with PS3 version.

None of the 1st party GH1 and GH2 controllers with adapters or the 3rd party GH3 controllers are working with the PS3 version of Rock Band. I have a stand alone copy of Rock Band and I am completely unable to play.

The box says that the game is compatible with MOST third party controllers but in fact it is not compatible with ANY.


Please help.

Looks like we're all just screwed. I bought this game based on IGN's review that the GH guitars would work. Now it turns out that that's only true for the Xbox version!!! What the hell?!?!? Why does it work for one system and not the other?!?!?

I'll be returning this stupid game if they don't come up with a solution within the next couple of days. I can't believe they have the balls to say that there will be stand-alone guitars coming out in a couple of months!!! Why the hell would I want 2 months to play the game the way it's supposed to be played?!?!? Right now, the wife and I really enjoy playing lead guitar and bass on GH. We wanted to do the same with RB.

Actually I bought the game becuase it says right on the box of the game that it is compatible with most 3rd party controllers. It's not even compatible with 3rd party controllers.... I can't find any statement from EA or Harmonix on what to do... I called EA and they said they will call me back after researching..... I'm really confused and have a game that I can't return and can't play.

Im sitting in the same boat as all of you guys. Its great that they post false statments that their prouduct does work with the unit. I wonder if their going to the slapped with a couple of law suits on false advertisement???

I also tried to run both guitars on GH3 for ps3 and it didnt work. So guess both game systems arent going to be backwards compatible. Now I guess I have to purchase a bunch of guitars just to get the full gamming experience out of both games right???

Agreed. The Strat they sell breaks, and even though they support "open controller standards" no other controller works. That's worth an F or F-. Apparently there is no standard, but since they know how a GH3 controller works, they could add it as an option at least.
