Red Drum Pad Not Functioning (X360)

I've been having a serious problem with my left most (Red) drum pad. Out of the box the pad wouldn't function, however three thirds of the way through a song it started to work. It then worked through the night (Monday Night/Tuesday Morning) with little incident. Since then I haven't been able to get it to function at all. It is unresponsive to anything but an extreme hit.

Is their a fix for this, because its annoying to play the song correctly, but still fail because the red pad doesn't respond to a drum hit.

I went to the EA Service page today to request it, but I'm having trouble trying to file the request. What should it go under, is there a section where I can describe my problem? Its not an issue with the USB Hub, nor is it an issue with the drum pads as a whole. It is only the red pad.

And also what is the typical time frame for replacements? If I put it in today, will I have it by the start of next week?

Make sure there's nothing wedged between the pad and the frame. I had a piece of cardboard packaging stuck there, making my red pad not register for the first couple songs I played.

Maybe the cables can get broken. You need to refresh the drum or buy a new one
