So, I have been seeing a lot of complaints about the bass pedal, saying either, "It makes the game too hard bawwwww," or, "There should be a cheat so you don't have to play the bass."

Let me tell you a little story. It's 12:45 P.M., Me, Jon and Kyle have just finished setting up our band for Band World Tour, and we went with the setup that we have been planning for a while, me on guitar (expert), Jon on Bass (hard), and Kyle on drums (easy). It made sense for Kyle to do easy since even though he played the demo at Best Buy, he wanted to get used to that bass pedal. Well we play for about 3 hours, and for most of that time Kyle is struggling a bit here and there, saying that it's pretty hard to get used to. However, by the time it was 4 A.M. (we didn't stop playing till around 8 or 9) Kyle had been on medium for several songs, and he had gotten pretty damn good to. Every song he played he would talk about how much more fun the drums have gotten, and he is LOVING them. We wanted to take a break to grab food soon after and Kyle stayed to play some solo songs even while we did that.

So guys, seriously, this is just like when we all played Guitar Hero for the first time. Once you play enough you WILL get better and have more fun, just practice that bass pedal and you'll be fine.

My youngest son would never NEVER play Guitar Hero on medium either for close to three weeks. He now destroys me on expert in these games... My wife has never played an instrument in her life, but she sat down at the drums last night and was able to handle all the early songs on easy right off the bat. I honestly can't believe this is even an issue that is being so blown out of proportion. PRACTICE!

Some people just don't understand that you are actually playing the drums in this game. You would not get the drumming experience without the bass drum. That's one of the basic things you learn when playing in real life.

I don't think the issue is the drums on easy or medium. It's when you play some of the songs on Hard, or play around on Expert, when it gets crazy. There's just so much scrolling down the screen, and you have three limbs all doing their own thing. At least on guitar, you only had to get the hang of strumming on time. Unlike with guitar, though, I think there are some people who will practice drums for a while, and may never make it all the way through Hard, let alone Expert.

The Metallica DLC songs definitely need a Double Bass Pedal.

Its good to finally have a game where us drummers have an advantage over the guitar hero addicts :D. But then again, we suck at guitar.

First time playing drums in the game w/ bass pedal - 92%, Epic, Expert.
First time playing guitar on medium - FAIL, that Jet song, Medium.
I guess it all comes down to experience.

The issue i have found moving from med to hard is the of time bass pedal that has to hit outside the beat pattern going on. it will slaighter me in a sec. if the bass pedal is in beat i can 100% the song.

It's limb independency. I'm trying to learn it right now, and it's really the main thing keeping me from advancing on drums.
