Goddammit. I do. I don't care if you're a dude.
I remember back when I got my OPM demo disc, and I believe the demo song was Danger is Go. dude me and my friend made so many remix's of that song, and even though we were just frantically (and randomly) smashing Square, triangle and X... Booooooooy, we were hot ???. We made the baddest songs anyone on the face of the planet ever heard.
Then I went out and bought frequency for $30 bucks and I played that s**t all NIGHT son. No sleep.
I'm not joking how hooked I was on this game. Sleep was not an option, everytime I closed my eyes all I saw was notes shooting at me down a dark blue tunnel, and I'd get up and go play some more. I beat Medium mind you just using the face buttons, my friend was like "Dude, use the shoulder buttons it's easier!" then I was like "BULL****!! I KNOW I CAN BEAT DYNAMITE FRESH LIKE THIS YOU *******!!"
And so it goes, and it goes, and september of 2002, tribes Aerial Assault was released on PS2, a semi-port of Tribes 2, I still play TAA online to this day and it's 5 years old. it's a cult classic, I rock at it, blah blah blah, and I could go on about how It's incredible and all that but I wont. (Favorite game of all time though, but I promised Try that I wouldn't talk about it), but long story short, It took me away from it and most things in life (job/friends) and then Amplitude was released.
More trancey goodness from harmonix and I fell in love, played online alot and 4 barred most of the songs, had an all black "Shadow-esque" freq and thought I was unique but I wasn't.
More freezepop, a little popular music, and a ****LOAD more Symbion. And Cosmonaut Zero, I remixed this s**t so much. The best remix of this song out there is called "Black Hole ~>_>" by ESCO, it was so awesome, I played it so many times and had it stuck in my head 24/7. It was on the slowest speed and was one of the longest songs in the game and took like 8 minutes to play. But I didn't care, it rocked ass.
I still have nightmares of robot rockers, it seriously took me like a month to beat that s**t. Then I realized how much better I was doing on amp than freq, then went back to freq and completely blew it away. It felt like it was on novice, it was rediculous how bad I beat frequency.
Then I played a bit of anti grav but didn't get into the whole Eye toy thing, skipped over the kaoreoke games (which I obviously can't spell) and then got into Guitar Hero. The best thing since freq. Boy that takes me back. Guitar Hero is the most incredible game I've ever played. I love it, and I can't get enough of it.
Everything from the incredible sounding covers to hearing music made by the developers own bands. It's so awesome seeing a company who has such genuine love for music unlike bogus companies like MTV and every pop-*** sellout to grace it (even though about %20 of MTV actually is about music).
From Frequency to Guitar Hero you guys have opened my ears and mind to so many different kinds of music and even hearing YYZ by rush (which I've never heard before) made me get into rush and I just heard Fly By Night by them which is ****ING incredible and I can't stop listening to it.
Harmonix. As gay as this sounds, you have touched my heart and changed my life.
Thank you for being you. I am looking forward to Rock Band with much anticipation beyond what you could imagine.
I love you.
(even though you sold the rights to guitar hero.)
P.S. Should this have been a blog?

We love you too! Plan in advance to take some days off of work/school when Rock Band launches. You're not gonna get any sleep for days! You know it's gonna be good when I say "Aww shucks... Monday is a holiday. I only get to play Rock Band for 4 days next week."

Next fall I'll be a freshman in college, and I was hoping to be able to be focused (especially considering that I'm going into Nursing and I hear Nursing is a pretty ridiculous course), but once RockBand was announced, I've just been way too hyped to even think about college. So there's a dilemma, but then there's also another dilemma. Guitar Hero 3 also comes out in the fall, but I've already preordered RB + Wireless Guitar + Drums, so I'm definitely buying that, but I enter GH tournaments so I'm kind of torn about buying it, and I just wouldn't have the time for both games.

I don't think you heard me correctly... I'll be a freshman in college! I can't be throwing around (approximately) $200 on RB and then another $60 for GH3. I mean so what if I threw down $600+ for a PS3, I need to prioritize with college coming.

Harmonix truley is all the great things that all of you have said about them :) I'm still losing sleep over GH2, i beat the game on hard mode about a few days ago but i still have 7 songs i need to get more than 3 stars on. once i get 5 stars on all songs on hard, i will move on to expert. I am an Amplitude, Frequency expert for sure.. (my old roommate had these games and i got better at it then him) After i moved out with my girlfriend i kinda got out of the loop with GH1 and we were broke for the longest tim... So I admit I havn't even played the first GH yet, i jumped right into GH2 cause i never even owned my own ps2 until recently and i got the game+guitar combo. so im looking forward to GH1, but soon enough GH3 and RB will be out... i am going to have to get GH1 really soon, because that will be hard to juggle 3 games at once.. well, I will pick-up GH3 on PS2 first as i dont have the cash to get a PS3 anytime soon :( screw microsoft im not getting a 360....

that being said, i should be pretty much finished GH and GH2 by the time GH3 comes out. I will be able to focus on GH3 while i save up for a PS3 and RB+Gear... damn that is going to be expensive, but worth it when i rip up all of you on drums online! i cant wait, im with you guys harmonix is the sh*t!!
