I think the absence of hyperspeed is a good thing. People need to learn how to play without it.

Notice* It has been confirmed that there is no Hyper Speed.
I believe it was in a blog stating that they were trying to get the most authentic rock experience and would not include the cheat.

The HO/PO's are smaller bars. Easy to tell if you take a moment to look.

Having beaten every song on expert (except a few of the DLC songs that I didn't get) I can honestly say I can't really see teh need for a hyperspeed code. Haven't seen any songs where the notes were spaced so close together that it was difficult to identify their order.

If there was Hyperspeed then it would have been funny to watch somebody try to sing the song.

Hyperspeed is fun and to some it makes the game seem more challenging or seem a lot easier, depends on how you look at it. Honestly it does nothing, I've already beaten the game on expert and I always played with Hyper mode. I can definitely deal with it not being in this game.

I think it's much harder to do constant strumming or drumming in the absence of hyperspeed.
It's also really hard to distinguish the super fast speed strumming parts... one part in GG&HT is just a block of orange and you can't really read how fast you need to strum.
Research has shown that in gaming, the human eye can track only about 8 things at once... so thats why better spacing and fewer notes on the screen is desirable.
It would have been nice.
