I bought this as a x-mas present for my kids. All the ads, the pictures on the box, even the banner at the top of this screen show 4 people playing! I don't care that the ps2 controlers or the gh3 controlers for ps2 don't work, I just want to be able to buy another guitar now, not in 2 freakin months! That is just stupid..............

I know exactly how you feel. I would have paid extra for the kit if it had two guitars in a heartbeat. It would have been a whole lot easier that way.

I bought two (xbox 360) bundles. One I kept the entirety of, the other I just kept the guitar from. Sold the drums for $120 and the game for $50. So effectively for $10 I got an extra guitar (and a mic which I might sell).

So this is one suggestion if you can still find more PS3 bundles. It is more work than you should have to do to get an extra guitar, but I probably could have actually made a profit over the price of the 2nd bundle if I really wanted.

If you have an XBox 360 just get an x-plorer for ~$60. If does not have the Solo keys or the effects switch but they are pretty solid performers now adays.

If you have a PS3.... well not so much help there.

xbox, from what I understand has the capability to use other guitars, which is good. For some reason ps3, not so much...... Once again, I wouldn't mind buying another wireless guitar for ps3......................................before groundhog day!

No one except a ******ed person.

i think the point is that the game should be as accessable as possible. hmx should patch the game to work with the ps3 les paul. it works on the 360. i know us ps3 users are getting used to being shafted, but we need a break sometimes.

HMX would love to sell you a Strat guitar separately if they had some lying around, I'm sure.

The PS3/ Les Paul thing is a real puzzler. If you've seen pictures of the HMX office you've noted dozens of real instruments, plenty of controllers around. The idea that they haven't tracked down at least one of every single GH-type controller on the market for testing on each platform is too insane to think of. I'm sure HMX was aware of the incompatibility upon release and I'm sure it's their policy to be blindly compatible where possible so all I can think is that there's some bug or technical buggabo with getting the PS3 Les Paul to work. Hopefully some kind of software update will come.

Personally I'd love to buy another guitar controller of Strat quality that's marketed as a bass, but that's just me. >.>

The banner on the top of the screen also shows cymbals, and stage lights, so should they be included too? Obviously they're advertising that it's a full band game, but that doesn't mean you should assume it comes with everything you see.

I think having only 1 guitar in the box was a smart move. Not only does it lower the price (people are scared at the $170 price, so imagine how much worse a $230 price would look), but it also doesn't force people to buy something they may not need. Not everyone will have 3 people to play along with them all the time, so there's no reason to waste $60 on a guitar that is gathering dust.

Secondly, many people have at least one of the Guitar Hero games, and likely have a controller for that sitting around. Why waste the money you spent on that, if you can get some more use out of it in RB? Granted, this doesn't apply to PS3 owners (like myself) but there is always that PS2-adapter method, if you want to use the old Gibson controller as a bass.

The only thing that could have been done better, is having the extra guitars available for purchase sooner. But I doubt that was feasible, given the schedule they were working with.

I know just repeating what I said elsewhere... You guys know you can buy the individual instruments from EA direct right? Just file a claim in the support section and choose express replacement and don't send back the old one. Your CC gets billed in 30 days for it and you get the guitar or whatever within 2 days of filing the claim.

Of course the question is...does anyone know exactly how much they will charge you for a guitar if you do this? All the web site says is that they will charge you a $20 handling fee on top of whatever they charge you for the guitar.

Did you know the ps2 adaptor method doesn't work for RB?And while your being a jerk to this guy did you know he has a ps3?I dont recall him asking for cymbals and stage lights. What about the people who bought the stand alone game for the PS3?I guess they can go and make a character and wait for 70 days or so.Aleast with the 360 you can have a full band or a back up guitar if the strat fails.
