I'd say my guitar up-strumming works about 20% of the time. Only downstrum is 100%

I've got a bum down strum (double triggers ~75% of the time) and drums that don't like to register all the time. Huzzah!

I'm also having strumming issues where I'm missing notes that I'm not supposed to. Especially on fast sections. ALONG WITH THAT, my kick pedal dosent register at all, I'm hoping it's just an issue with the pedal itself and not with the connection on the main drum set. I already had requests for replacements but is certainly is disheartening to have 2/3rds of a $180 game not working right straight out of the box. I was really looking forward to spending my long weekend beating on those drums, I had planned to take the game with me and play with some friends since i was going back home for the holiday. Now I wont even be able to receive the replacement parts since I'm gonna be away from home.

My downstrum is working funny. I will double strum sometimes and cause me to miss the note because I strummed twice. Anybody with this problem?

My guitar has had intermittent problems with the green fret button. This morning the yellow button stopped working entirely. Also for whatever reason the guitar would not register on system start up and would require being unplugged. The Xplorer, mic and drums had no such problem. I ordered the replacement and will hopefully have better luck as I really like the Strat compared to the GH controllers.

How about voting options for those not having problems so as to better reflect the scope of the problems?

Horrible! Pay 170.00 for this and tons of stuff going wrong I'm seeing. I didn't belive it. Seemed like everyone was having problems with stuff not working or breaking. I had this attuide of "wow, people need to really take better care of their stuff! Things shouldnt break if you take care of them right" Well.... that all went out the window. I take VERY good care of my stuff and here it is... my strum buttion wont strum down.

...What a mess. RECALL!!! RECALL!

I got the game for the PS3 at best buy last tuesday. after a few hours of playing the down strum started acting funny. I had also purchased the extra warranty for $30 so I went in to get it replaced just to find out that they didnt have any in stock and wouldnt for another 2 weeks. So I decided to exchange it for the 360 after playing for about 4 hours on that I had the same issue no down strum.

So i decided to take the thing apart and see what was going on. I pulled the guitar apart and looked at the strum switches and the strum bar looks like it presses the switches just fine but it just dont work right. there were some foam inserts pressed into the switches so i removed them and it started working fine. it worked like that for about 2 days and now its messing up again.

Also I will add some imagesof my internals for some reason they look nothing like the ones I have seen on these boards.

My drums out of the box would not sync with my 360 so I haven't even had a chance to play with the drums yet...my guitar has been pretty good but due to occasional glitches I have ordered a replacement for that too...

I really think they are going to need to increase that 60 day warranty if they want to keep people happy...

I was curious if anyone else has seen this one. It's not exactly a problem that affects the actual play, per se, but my friend got his Rock Band and a strange looking guitar. It took us a while to figure out why it looked different... and then we realized:

He had an orange button instead of a green button.

The color itself wouldn't actually matter that much, but the orange button is bigger than the green, so it looks weird and feels weird.

So, it doesn't exactly interfere with play, nor is it enough to warrant trying to return it, but I thought I'd mention it because it really adds to the whole "shoddy production" that we've seen on so much other stuff.

And I was just curious if anyone else had seen this.

I'd say my guitar up-strumming works about 20% of the time. Only downstrum is 100%

I noticed on mine at least, that after trying to adapt to the down strumming not working, the up strum starts to wear itself out as well. It's only a matter of time before my guitar wont work :(

We broke the bass pedal after the third day. We took 5/8 MDF and cut a strip about the size of the petal. Drilled some holes, inserted some bolts and BAMM!! We actually like the way the bass feels better after the repair.

I'm having the same problem, guitar won't work well while strumming up only, especially holding a long note. <support.ea.com/rockband> is shipping me out a new one as we speak, must be an ongoing problem, from what I've read. Happy they're backing their product, hope the replacement does the trick! Other guitars from GH II & III work fine, so has to be the Strat. Will make do with my Les Paul or Explorer for now. My biggest question is, what happens if the replacement Strat does the very samething? Another replacement or have they gotten to the bottom of the problem? AWESOME, AWESOME game though!!

Downstrum started acting funky, I opened the strat up and fixed the problem for a few days. It came back 2 days ago with a vengeance and now almost entirely doesn't work. I'm waiting on my replacement now.

Just guessing by what I'm reading on the various threads but it seems to be that most of the people who are on the forums are here because they're having problems so the results are bound to be skewed.
