If your like me and have been getting all the DLC, then you have spent somewhere in the range of $90-$95 in the last month since the release of RB2. I knew I was spending alot with all the album releases, but I didnt realize that I had spent nearly $100 in the last month. I've been getting every DLC since RB came out and I continue to do so, but I hope they don't continue to come out with a $100's worth of DLC every month or I'll go broke.

If you play a lot, it is still cheap entertainment.

Get your band members to contribute, or at least provide the party favors and the food.

100 divided by 4 is ony $25.

Start charging people that come to your RB parties. ;) Or you need to start to be more selective hehe. Pace yourself d00d. :)

The money doesn't bother me, I just hadn't realized how much I had spent over the last month. I'll continue to buy everything that comes out.

The second poster nailed it... If you play alot, it is cheap. It cost $38 for my wife to bring our two kids to the movies to watch a crappy 1 hour 30 minute film. That's 19 rockband songs worth HOURS of entertainment, in my mind.

I agree with you all, getting the DLC is a great investment. I have alot of fun playing. And I get everything cause I never know what kind of mood I'm gonna be in that day and what I'm gonna want to play. Plus, I have been surprized with some of the songs and bands that I had never heard of. And lastly, it's fun to do a mystery setlist and have all the DLC for the system to choose from, you never know what it's gonna throw at you.

As long as you enjoy what you're purchasing I don't see a problem.

Me personally I only buy about 75% of songs but each one that I do get I really enjoy.

I only buy stuff that I would enjoy listening to with a few exceptions. I buy the emo stuff for my brother, as it gives him an incentive to jump on and play too. Then I pound him with Rush songs, and tell him he's no Neil Peart.

To actually add to the topic (even though it is 7 months old), I've probably spent about $40 on DLC in the last month. And I still haven't gotten everything I want. (Still need to get Midnight Rider, Naked Eye, and a few others)

I don't know if it's because you're a father with two kids, but I would have never thought that. That really puts it in perspective.

Macdaddy brought up a good point. I'm now starting to think of purchases differently. "Go to burger king?" my friend may ask. I reply with "Hell no, that's 3 rock band songs!"

I will never look at currency the same way again...

How do people end up necroing in the first place? Do people really go back and read old threads?

i accidentally did it once a while ago by looking up threads with the most replies, and one thread on the page happened to be several months old (i didn't know this at the time)

apples, on the other hand, may have very well just went back and read through old threads

No, others necropost, and then delete their own posts after others have responded to it.

I am not amused.
