Broken Record glitch? (RB2 360)

This is a problem that I have encountered personally several times and every one of my band members has encountered as well.

Last night while playing Colony of Birchmen, the track started to "skip", as if I was playing a scratched CD or a broken record. This caused me to break multiplier and fall behind my other band mates who I was playing with on Xbox Live.

This has been a recurring problem. We can't even get a decent score on "So What'cha Want" because one of our band members skips on that song every time.

Another example: during Uncontrollable Urge on the Endless Setlist, I encountered this problem (the track kept repeating "I've got an... I've got an...), causing my system to freeze.

Normally I would write this type of lag off to Xbox Live, but given the consistency of the problem across different game modes I think it is probably a problem with the game (not even necessarily my disc).

Does anyone else have this type of problem? and if so, can anything be done? and if not, will there be a patch to address this problem?

It could be a problem with your disc, perhaps? I guess it depends on whether or not more people show this issue. I'll keep my eye on this thread.

Someone did mention that there was a similar issue in RB1, and while I encountered that it was much less common.

Like I said, my band mates have also reported a similar problem, and we are playing different discs across the US.

Similar things have happened to me too, but unlike the OP, I don't have a consistent trigger. Occasionally the game will pause mid-song with some odd shearing of the graphics, then pick up again 4-5 seconds later like nothing happened. I've had the sound repeat like a scratched record on only one occasion; most of the time there is no sound during the freeze period.

For the developers I can't give a lot to go on, unfortunately. I've played RB2 4-5 hours every day since release, and have seen this behavior only show up perhaps four times total in the last month. I don't recall doing anything unusual at those times, so I'm not sure what possible triggers could be. I have seen this happen twice on Live, once on local multiplayer, and once on single player. It seems to be a pretty hard to find glitch.
