I know the game has a teen rating because of some of the lyrics in the game.
Does anyone know what songs made it get the teen rating?
I planning on bringing Rock Band to Thanksgiving with the whole family. That includes kids 5 and 6 years old that love video games and love to try to play what ever video game we are playing. I fear the kids stumbling onto a song like Big Bottoms from spinal tap, kidding aside even hearing them sing most Britney Spears lyrics probably isn’t a good idea either.
So what are the songs with questionable lyrics for young children?

Well, one, while not having bad lyrics, so to speak, but rather more subject matter, is Enter Sandman by Metallica

Welcome Home is a little dark and devious as well. But that one is a little more subtle.

In Bloom - "Nature is a whore"

Gimme Shelter - I don't think you want kids yelling "RAPEEEEEEE, MURDERRRRRRR"
Run to the Hills - More rape
Hand that Feeds - Pretty anti-religious, if you're into that sort of thing

I don't remember specifically what song it was, but it was about over protective parents or something. Talked about parents that kept their kids out of the public school system because they insisted on sheltering their kids from the everyday elements in life so that later when the kids moved out they find out that they are horribly unprepared for real life where they have to handle real social situations every day. It might have been a Britney Spears song, I hear she's pretty risqué. Just a step away from Marilyn Manson, who CLEARLY was the root cause for Columbine, amirite?

Say it Aint so is a little serious.
Youve got your fair share of "hell", "whore", "rape" and "ass", but I dont think its anything I wouldnt want my 7 year old sister to hear otherwise

Creep says Hell a couple times.
Just be glad they censor the songs in this game or else there would be more than Hell.
Such as F***.

well, if it was really bad lyrics, they would be censored so must of them are common less offensive swears

guess it all depends on your/or the parents of the kids definition of offensive.
I personally don't shield my kids from language for the most part (as long as it's relative to the point of the song and not just F-bombs left and right or too sexual in nature and descriptive) i'd say if the kids are watching TV or listening to most "pop" radio stations the game is mild
hope it helps, but it's really a personal preference of what each parent subjects their kids to.

So far, I've found it to be a LOT milder than the GH3 songs. I have 3 girls who are 8, 5, and 4, and they've been in the room for a fair amount of the songs. Nothing's made their little heads explode yet ;)

Oh and this may not matter, but sooner or later, the Downloadable Contenet could have offensive content, but nothing above a T rating.

seriously? so you can't even choose to hear the F-bomb paying $2 a track.
weak, there should be an age verification option to get songs the way the were recorded and not edited to be child friendly.

If you mean in general, that would give the game an M rating.
Unless you mean DLC.
