I've looked at a good deal of the set lists posted on this forum and have been mostly discouraged by the lack of support for a band featuring talented musicians and generally solid (albeit unpleasant to some) vocal work. Who is this band, you ask? Coheed and Cambria, of course. Their music is challenging and a good deal of songs could be excellent choices for Rock Band, such as:
The Crowing
Delirium Trigger
Everything Evil
Junesong Provision (Electric)
There are other, more mainstream songs that like "Welcome Home" or "Ten Speed," but they are not as balanced musically as the songs listed above. Coheed and Cambria aside, some other greats for Rock Band could be:
Muse: Hysteria
Stockholm Syndrome
At the Drive-In: One Armed Scissor
Cosmonaut
The Mars Volta: Drunkship of Lanterns
Eriatarka
There are more songs and bands that could do well in Rock Band, but they don't really fit the genre currently being promoted, so the list ends here.
