Guitar Hero 3 guitar...

I have the GH3 guitar and have read in countless videogame magazines that the guitar from GH3 will work with Rock Band. My buds and I have tried it, the guitar "technically" works on the game, however when we go to rock out as a band, I plug in the GH3 adapter into slot four for the bassist and it reads the adapter in slot 3 under the singer. We tried for a few hours last night to get it to work but weren't successful. If anyone has any ideas or has encountered this problem and fixed it, any help is appreciated. Thanks RB bros!

what system? the ps3 gh3 guitar does not work. the xbox360 gh3 guitar does/should

Same problem here. I expected my PS3 Guitar Hero III controller to work, but instead the PS3 sees it as a sixaxis, which activates the Mic. Why else would you make a 4 player game that can't be played by 4 players? We can only play with three, which is rather annoying concidering my friends and I are in an actual band and would all like to play our respective instruments. Please, make this work. Please. Until this issues is fixed I would have to suggest that none of my friends purchase this product.

Was incredibly disappointed to find out that the GH3 controller doesn't work on rock band as a guitar on the PS3.

Hope they fix this soon.

same here i was trying everything to see if it worked but nothing. that realy sucks i hope they come up with something soon for us PS3 ursers

Same thing here.... Why sell a four player game that's only good for three players? They don't have extra guitars at the stores around here.

No...better yet, why sell a stand alone copy of game when their are no working controllers for sale. You can go out and purchase the game right now if you would like, yet you can't play it at all.

I have RB 1, 2 and a whole bunch of the track packs...I use 3 different guitar hero guitars with it: Guitar hero 3 guitar, Guitar hero Aerosmith guitar and the World tour guitar (my baby lol) Never have had a problem. Actually the only guitar that doesn't work for me properly is the stupid RB2 fender guitar...lol weird

You are complaining because equipment that was not designed to work with the software, doesn't work with the software? The GH guitars are designed to work with GH games. The fact that for some of the games or systems it works is an added plus. It should not be considered the norm. And to suggest to your friends not to buy the product is like saying you aren't going to go to Mcdonalds until they start selling Whoppers!

This is all because of Activision not wanting their stuff on a similar game.
Ever notice on GH boxes it state "For use with only Red Octane Guitar Hero Controllers" while RB boxes says "Compatible with most music game controllers"
