i must admit, i was interested in this game until i watched this, the visual are horrific, the note shape in rb definately makes it easier to read the chart that in gh, anyway, don't want to cause a flame war

Thanks for the post. I agree, it looks like crap - mind you, it does look WAY better than GH3 and GH Aerosmith. As much as I love the beautiful art design and animation in RB, I'm just more interested in playing the music. One nice thing I noticed in the vid was the "More Stats" option at the end. That's one thing I missed about GH3 - it will be nice to have more stats and a record of previous high scores again.
I also like how they show the actual streak under the rock meter (as opposed to just the multiplier). However, it's so far to the side and hard to read, I'm not sure if I'd ever notice it while playing.
P.S. Man, those drum samples at the start sure sound terrible and nothing at all like the ones in the song.

I agree. I know that in a lot of ways it's irrelevant, but RB, for me, creates the feeling of being in a band, up on stage, playing in front of an audience, much more than GH:WT does (from the videos I've seen).

back on subject. The compressing of the games drum track from 6 to 5 when using the rb drums doesn't seem to have any impact on playability.

Appart from the silly graphics, I don't see any major difference. I'm not getting it simply because I don't have enough time already for Rock Band with all the DLC that gets thrown at us. I've got like 60 songs still unplayed in my solo guitar career.

Absolutely true. People who are getting both drum sets should seriously consider a new hobby and take a step back from these games. It's not justifiable with any reasonable argument.

Is it just me or do the graphics when a note is hit just look....lazy?
And the bouncing for the bass kick would drive me nuts.
(EDIT: Had to change "crazy" to "nuts"...I'm sure you can see why.)
