I have GH1-2-3 and have been thumping the crud out of them for some time now. I can beat TtFaF on expert blah blah blah (point in me telling you this is to make it clear I know when the timing is right... and when it isnt)

My room mate just got a new tv... its a new samsung LED engine DLP HDTV. The 'dlp' setting on the calibration mode doesnt give me the right settings. I have spend the last 2 days trying to come up with a setting that works for my TV and I've gotten close, but I cant quite get it right and its finally preventing me from passing songs (highway star solo and its too fast for me to consciously think "ok, hit all these notes a smidge late")

Anyone else have any problems like that? Or maybe... the correct setting for a samsung HL-T6187S hooked up through HDMI on an xbox 360 elite? =(

Currently I have it set to a/v lag +125ms and the other lag +55ms and thats as close as I've come to getting it right

yeah..i'm having issues too. bigger issue for me and my family is that we don't seem able to settle on a calibration that works for both the guitar and the drums. We can do just fine playing solo, but if we want to play together, the lag is always off for one of us. This suggests that we simply aren't hitting the notes at the right time and while i'm not quite as good as the person before me indicated, I'm quite able to do most of the songs on expert, so i think i know when to hit the notes. Very frustrating. Does anyone know of a way to have two different lag times?

I've noticed that the lag seems to be different between drums and guitar, too. I haven't figured out a way to get them working well together.

One thing I'm curious if anyone else has seen: The calibration changing while the game is still on.

Earlier, in the middle of a solo tour, I paused for a bit for a break. I came back and my timing seemed off. I had calibrated really well earlier, but now I had to shift from A/V calibration of 85 or so down to 30'ish ms.

It happened again when I changed input over to watch the Packers/Lions for a bit to get a breather. Came back, and calibration was completely whacky.

All were on drums, and the first time I just left it on the post-set screen...I didn't change input over to the game or anything.

Anyone else seeing this and/or have a fix?

I noticed even further problems as I played throughout the day. Talking XBox 360 version here.

I have a Sony KDF-50E2000 LCD HDTV.

In addition to the issues I noted in the post before, I'm noticing that the calibration actually changes MID-SONG sometimes!

I'll be drumming along doing fine, then things just seem to slip "out of synch" during the song. I get the sensation that the song is speeding up sometimes, when in reality it's just me having to beat a little sooner than normal to hit the note while I notice I'm no longer beating with the music rhythm. It's an odd sensation.

The calibration just seems to "slip" further and further the longer I play. When I first start up and calibrate, the first/AV setting doesn't seem to need much tweaking. I think I usually start out with an adjustment of +30 ms or so. As I go through sets, I'll notice everything's getting off-time and I'll have to recalibrate. Eventually it'll get up to 95 ms. Then 130...the furthest I've had to set was after about a 6 hour stretch without changing channels/input/turning off the TV. I had to push it all the way out to about 270 ms. At that high, I just turned the system and TV off and restarted. After a fresh restart of all, it was back to calibrating at 30'sh ms again.

Auto-calibration for the 360 and this model TV on the "LCD" setting is NOT effective in the least.

Anyone with similar issues and/or know what the root cause may be and if there's a solution on either

this may or may not help this particular problem, but I found that the option for dolby, when enabled, negatively affects the calibration. (and throws the mic and drum fills off too) turn it off if you have it on.

I seem to be having the shifting lag problem too. I use an Olevia 237 TV. I am a drummer and I am very perceptive of timing issues. My experience however seems to be that when I start out the A/V lag is around 130ms and after about 30-45 minutes of play it goes down to 30ms.
