Okay, look at that solo. Now, tell me why in the name of high holy *&$% there is no hyperspeed in Rock Band. "More realistic" my rear, that is damn near impossible to read at that speed. It should at least be an option, like nearly every other music/rhythm game in existence.
On the bright side, the upper frets will pwn those trills. That's a prime example of when to use them right there.

That's what practice mode is good for.

Yeah, um, that looks harder than One's solo. Although, that's what Overdrive is for.

So your master plan to show Harmonix that the song was "damn near impossible" was to show a video of a guy almost 5 starring it?

he pretty much meant from gh1 to rock band, but thanks anyways. why are people so closed minded when they cant get what they want?
PRACTICE MODE
PRACTICE THE SONG
LEARN THE SOLO (MEANING NOT MEMORIZE, BUT KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE PARTS)
DO NOT RELY ON SIGHT READING HYPERSPEED CHARTS.
or, complain on the forums any chance you get, and really stick it to harmonix. screw adaptation.

Go look at Blackened on Expert Drums and try to tell me that, thanks. You can learn it, but you WILL have to memorize it, I guarentee 95% of the population can't read those notes, sightread or not, it's got to be memorized.
This is coming from someone who's sight-read every song in the game on Expert Drums up to the 4th group/tier and gotten 5 stars on them.

Wait, so you're telling me you learn a song by watching it go FASTER?
Man, I really suck at these games. :(

If text were all jumbled and rammed together so that you couldn't read it, wouldn't that suck?
We use spaces in words and have seperate lines we talk in
like
this
for a reason; because it's easier to read. rhythm games are the same way. larger spaces in between notes = easier to read, even if it's faster.

It should at least be an option. Some people don't like it, fine I get that. But any arcade rhythm game has speed modifiers as standard options, and that's about as competitive as you can get with this genre. If it's a legit option there, no reason why it shouldn't be here.

yeah, so you are used to sight reading.
you expect to wail through stuff on reading, i take things to practice mode and learn the parts.

There is hypocrisy everywhere in this topic.
The whole point is having the OPTION to use hyperspeed! We are not trying to force hyperspeed down your throat as mandatory, so why are you trying to force normal speed down ours?

People have to use their sight to play this game weird, i just focus on the side of the screen and see the notes in the corner of my eye and let my hand do the rest.

Uh, sorry, as i've said before, I know there's far better than me, but you really need to understand that when people say that kind of stuff, they're doing it so they have *credibility*.
Who do you trust more to give you a medical opinion;
-Your local doctor who just completed his beginning medical classes
or
-A doctor with multiple M.D.'s, working at one of the best, highest rated hospitals in the USA?
I know you'll bull**** and say the latter one, but most people would go with the one with more credibility, which is why doctors have plaques up on their walls; to establish credibility, so the opinion gaven by the doctor is that much more credible.
They're not putting it out there to brag, they're doing it so people see they have experience, and they know what they're talking about.

I've seen my share of hard GH/RB parts and while that does look pretty tough I wouldn't call any of it unreadable (except a tiny handful of parts). Real sheet music doesn't leap off the stand and run around trying to be hard to read. I don't see why some buried option to adjust scroll speed would have been so awful.
