Some nights it might be working through the World Tour, others it might be playing BSSMfrom start to finish, doing a Nirvana and Foo Fighters playlist or playing all the female vocal songs. It won’t be “pick the hardest 15 songs and plow through them,” to me that just isn’t fun. What is fun is drinking beer (or wine if you so choose), playing the game and talking about music.
I am happy to play bass or guitar, and after a few beers sing (although this isn’t always the best idea). To give you an idea of my skill level, I’ve have 10 gold stars on guitar, but can’t get past Ballroom Blitz or Dead on Arrivalon expert—mainly because I don’t like either song enough to play them over and over again.
Here are the key selling points:
Basement den with dedicated beer fridge and beer waste elimination room, 46” Sony HDTV and surround sound system. As of the RB2 release date, I’ll have 250+ songs.
Looking for the following:
1. Someone not deathly allergic to cats.
2. Is of legal drinking age.
3. Doesn’t think their 34 year old host is an old fogy.
4. Is willing to share. Some nights my wife might join us for a few songs on guitar, other nights she will watch reruns of House and knit.
5. Who is a better singer than me. Since my singing has been favorably compared to the dulcet tones of William Hung, you’ll probably be safe.
6. Won’t get frustrated with people who aren’t as good as they are. Not everyone has 80 hours a week to dedicated to playing Rock Band.
7. Is not an axe murder.
If interested, let me know and we'll figure out the details.
