One more question regarding Rock Band. Now, as we all know, we have the option of putting more songs into the game via DLC, but do you guys think there should be an option to selectively remove songs from the playlist, for example when playing in Band World Tour mode? (this could be done through an in-game menu where you simply tick off which songs you want/don't want in the game). Let's say there's a song in there that you really don't feel like playing/hearing, then you could simply remove it from your personal playlist.
Your thoughts?

I think the purpose of the variety in the songs is to give you some versatility while playing / learning different play styles, etc. Much as I'd love a 100% punk sound track, it's not very exciting, gotta mix it up.

Accept the songs that you have to play over and over. I know it sucks, but once its done youll play more different songs.

Yes, yes, you can make the case for variety all you want, but let's face it, some of these songs are just downright mundane.

Just costructive criticism on my "behalf". But I do agree,Mississippi Queen,is über redundant in BWT,and its a good song, but gets old. Same thing with Creep, except that songs halarious.

I'm not a Hell, yes....just a regular yes. I don't think it's a bad idea. If I can add content, Adjusting out the songs I'm not down with shouldn't be bad.
I will say that at least getting 5 stars on even yourleast favorite songs will give you good experience/practice and make you better in the end. On the other hand, some play for fun and not to just PWN everyone.

Yes but I'm more for replacing them with DLC songs in any mode. I'm sure the 4258/4261 members of this board that don't like Fallout Boy would like to be able to replace them with a downloaded song. Then there's the GH 3 owners that already played the duplicate songs. Then there's songs like Highway Star and Welcome Home that were in other games before and could be sick of them from those. So yea I'm all for it.

This isnt a bad idea. Not essential to game play, but this would be a good option to have.

one thing that cought me by suprise was when i tried the first mystery setlist and the first song was blackened. i downloaded the metallica pack because im a huge metal fan, and i love the songs, but the dificulty totally cought me off guard after playing creep or dead or alive or anything from the first few setlists.
i dont think it would be a good idea to take songs out though.
i guess it just means that you should be extra carefull when choosing the dificulty level on those mystery setlists.

I'd say it'd be nice to do so for the DLC, because that won't be unlocked in a 'progression' manner so you'll get some ridiculously tough DLC out of the gate.
So because of that, for mystery setlists, I say yes, but otherwise, I think it should remain as is.

If you buy the DLC then it will show up in BWT. This is how I have gotten away from alot of repeats because it is tossing in the DLC. Also it has been said in several reviews that the more DLC you buy, the less repeats you will have.

As more songs become available it would be nice if you could have a genre specific band or even a cover band if enough music from one artist was available to use. But yea it kills the mood of the game when you're stuck playing something you don't like. I could see in the Solo Tour that we'd have to play every song on the disc once to unlock all of the songs, but why force people to listen or play music they don't like?
