As long as DLC keeps coming, I'm pretty happy... As for the genres, as long as it's fun to play I'll buy it.

Those groups are Boo ring

Then what would you rather see? Because all those I mentioned are certainly not boring...

How can they keep adding full Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, AC/DC, Nirvana, The Who, Pixies, and Motley Crue albums but no current (1990+) metal.

as far as the OP's list goes, i like Lamb of God, Chimaira (watch your spelling OP lol), Slayer, Devildriver, and Machine Head.

Now when the metal "elitists" read this thread, they will start flaming your ass cuz I know for a fact that they consider most of these bands "false" metal. I know this cuz i have gotten into this argument (i made the mistake of asking what "false" metal was and how music could have validity and what not, and boy did they answer back with arrogance lol) with them. I do not group myself with them since I like both "true/real" metal and "false" metal. I have only one issue with your list: no In Flames??!! cmon man! lol that would be my only addition to ur list.

I really hate how so many fans of a metal sub-genre are convinced that their niche is the only "real" metal. Get a grip people, metal is a gigantic umbrella term. I absolutely love my metal but it covers so many different styles and bands, so get off your high horses, thrash is awesome, but not the only "real" metal.

i personally frown on the whole "true metal" thing as well...

the way i see it, genres and subgenres are there to describe music...
yet if someone tells me they're in a "true metal" band i still haven't the faintest of how they sound...

i'd also believe that there are plenty of awesome 90's metalcore bands who are more "true" to the (admittedly vague) values of metal than many of today's death/black/etc metal bands.

if someone chooses to adopt "true metal" as a descriptor for bands who have stayed true to metal, then that's fine but it still tells me nothing of their sound.

yeah i have searched for the elusive "true metal" sound but since there are bands in the same sub-genres that are considered true and false, idk how they come to that conclusion. maybe they put all of the bands in a hat and draw at random...makes the most sense to me.

in all seriousness, i suppose it's a mixture of how the band presents themselves (both through band-aesthetics and as people), how they handle the distribution and profit of their music, and what kind of music they play.

i'd personally rather approach each band individually when it comes to so many vague and somewhat pointless factors, though.

I'm sorry did not mean to make it sound like "my metal" is the only real metal.

Was stupid of me to say that, but I would like to see some of the bands I listed.

Whats wrong with metal? Oh and don't forget there is plenty of other lame sh*t in RB already! Metal is certainly not over represented. It's severly lacking. Make a list of all the metal and non metal in the game, including DLC and the sh*t from the first RB, you'll see, we actually need MORE metal!

Metal versus non-metal??? What kind of comparison is that? Just because metal doesn't make up 50% of the list doesn't mean it's under-represented. Rather than flail arguments around and make someone else responsible for it maybe you should look it up. Break down each genre too. Metal v. Classic Rock, Metal v. Punk, Metal v. Southern Rock...

And keep in mind, just because you may not consider something metal that's categorized that way in the game doens't mean you can discount. We should all remember that most people playing the game are average fans of music in general. There is an abundance of metal, but I won't say it's overrepresented. I think we need more of everything. And I think that should start with Primus and Flogging Molly.

we need REAL metals as in, Iron Maiden, Metallica, more Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, maybe 2 more Ratt songs, wouldnt mind other cool Crue songs more REAL Black Sabbath(Iron Man), Dokken, old school Dream Theatre like A Fortune in Lies maybe?..Helloween, Hammerfall, Manowar, obviously old school Guns n'Roses, more Megadeth(anything from Capitol Punishment album)...Metal Church, Scorpions, Skid Row, hell maybe even some Deff Leppard hahah why not?

A full Weezer album? when was this announced? I could've sworn there is no Weezer full albums even hinted at...so HMX get on that...however, as for metal we certainly need Slipknot, Pantera and A7x.

More Killswitch Engage is all I ask; and no more crappy single versions.

I'm a HUGE metalhead but I understand that we need a broad spectrum of genres. So some KSE soon and then we'll lay of the heavier stuff for a little while, yes Harmonix? ...please? ^^

Im just saying, to me, the metal that started it all and the best around is 80's stuff that primarily got its inspiration from Black Sabbath(so they deserve alot of credit)...all that Slipknot/Slayer scream your head off type of ''metal'' just plain sucks..:D

I would like to have one or two slayer songs in the game.

But, we definitely need some Iron Maiden.

There are rumors that we'll be getting Sepultara in the near future.

Slayer and Slipknot should not be compared to each other, ever. You see, one of those bands has talent, and the other *coughslipknotcough* doesn't.

The only genre of metal that needs more representation is power metal. Where is Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Galneryus or Blind Guardian?

add metallica, megadeth and testament to your "more of" list.
And where is Pantera.
It would have the perfect 3 pack
Cowboys from hell, cemetery gates, walk

would be cool to have the sound, but the instruments sounds pretty basic and repetitive in quite a few of their songs. Plus it wouldn't be quite as epic to not be able to play the solos for all the instruments, on their plastic video game counterparts that is.
