dont know if its just me but about 1 in 10 of my hits dont even register... i especially notice when trying to navigate menues. Doesnt matter how hard i hit them.

Mostly the red one i am having issues with, the others work better.

do others have this issue?

same here, if there's fast drumming parts on the red drum it won't recognize anything. its not very easy to beat hard or expert when your controller wont let you do any speed drumming.

I'm having the exact same problem. The red pad almost never functions. It will work in a song for maybe 15 seconds, and then it won't work again. I can't even navigate the menus like you said with it.

I ended up just sending in for a replacement. Its really frustrating trying to get better at the drumming sections when one pad won't work. And for it not to be functioning correctly when all my family and friends come over tomorrow for Thanksgiving.

I read about this in another post , try calibrating it!

what is calibrating going to do... its not registering the hits which is a product flaw, not the fact that the tv and the game arent in sync

There's like 5 posts a day com plaining about the drums, why did you ressurrect one from two months ago?

The drums aren't sturdy. If it's not registering it's broken. RMA it.

Somebody from Harmonix posted in a thread and stated if your missing like every tenth note it's all in the timing and it needs to be calibrated!

Well someone from Harmonix needs to get their head out of their asses. If it was calibration then it would miss more than 1 out of 10 or every tenth hit. More lies, only this time from Harmonix, not EA. And just so you know, I have 3 sets of drums, all of them do the same thing (and one of those sets is an RMA replacement). It's the game not picking them up properly.

Yes. The rest of us got a different game where we can FC songs on expert. Apparently you didn't know what to ask for at the store.
-end sarcasm-

Seriously, Some of the drums drop hits now and again. That can be remedied somewhat by hitting them harder. They will probably crack, but they WILL register. If you're regularly missing 1 in 10 notes on three seperate drum kits it's you. It's either your playing or your calibration.

Are the drums perfect? Heck no.
Do they work? Enough to at least hit 99% consistently, even if your scores may not be as high as you'd like.

Well I stand (or sit) corrected. My previous posting about the drums missing because of the game could very well be wrong (and I'm man enough to admit it). I just watched a series of videos about different drum kits and some mods to make the drums better.

This seems to be the golden method if you have this version of the drum kit (QM version). So I apologize and admit that I may have been wrong. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to find some rubber bands and socks.

Edit: Let me just be perfectly clear about this though, though I was wrong about my argument as to why it was broken, it is still not a calibration issue. The drum sets are crap. :)
